90s inland for the rest of us. >> good morning, mike. i want to head down to our biggest issue this morning, it is improving in the south bay, a three-car crash happened about an hour ago on north bay 680 around hostetter road. one of the vehicles was facing sideways from the initial collision when hit again. unfortunately we did have in injuries. they're working on cleaning that up. the far right lane blocked. you can see the residual delays, down to about nine miles an hour for two mes n the scene. san mateo bridge, quick check here as well, westbound 92 okay around the mid span. a disabled vehicle that is pushed off to the left shoulder. that vehicle getting some assistance right now. next traffic update coming up in just about ten minutes. >> thank y time lapsed videoou shows t river fire as it grows out of control in mendocino county. this is being combined with the

nearby ranch fire and together they have burned more than 80,000 acres. you can see here where both of them are on this map, the ranch fire 10% contained, the river fire 12%. evacuation orders were lifted last night for finley and kelseyville in lake county. abc 7 news was in kelseyville when people started returning home. homeowners wanted to thank the firefighters but know the fires are a long way from being fully contained. meantime there are still many road closures in place and lake county authorities took theseo yesterday. they are accused of being unauthor ride in evacuated areas in fact mendocino complex fire. three had been previously warned to stay out of those areas. there is a new wildfire burning in northeastern mendocino county. mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for the highlighted part of mendocino, and kavelo. this is the eel fire. the latest update from last

night it has burned 400 acres. the fire fight continues on the carr fire, mainly burning in shasta county, but last night it crossed into trinity county. trinity is west of french gulch and in total burned more than 112,000 acres. containment at 30%. eric thomas has more on the fire that has destroyed nearly 1,000 homes so far. >> reporter: tonight there's a growing emphasis on the trinity side of the carr fire now that flames have reached over the county line. >> firefighters say these flames have crept down the ridge and are finally down here to the road's edge where they let it burn. there are no structures here. they're content to fight itt f s away from here. >> afraid the little town of lewistown is going to burn. >> reporter: ron pearl who retired to livermore a few years back is one of the trinity county evacuees who checks this map locally for updates on the

fire, information he can't get from fire department websites. >> as far as the updates on-line, everything is for shasta county, not trinity county. >> reporter: the map has become a town square for lewistown folks to share what they know. and not far away in the parking lot of a cvs pharmacy, a little enclave of travel trailers has sprung up, filled with people who had to flee lewistown over the weekend and rough it. >> no electricity. no showers. no nothing. >> reporter: late this afternoon, cal fire and other emergency responders held a community meeting to update folks on the fire fooigts effort. >> i can tell you our number one priority besides safety is to get you home. >> reporter: there is no timetable for that and weary firefighters are doing their best but edith and thousands like her have one wish. >> i just want to go home. >> reporter: more than that, she wants a home to go home to.

hollyfield is live where his family and friends will say good-bye. >> this will be a private memorial service not open to the public. it will be filled with family, friends, former teammates. dwight clark is known for making a catch. it was on third down with only a minute to go. he made a touchdown against the dallas cowboys which sent the niners to their first ever super bowl. that was in 1981. clark caught the ball with his fingertips and the play was forever known as the catch. clark was known for more than just that epic play. he was known as a humanitarian who cared about giving to the community and after his diagnosis for bringing attention to the als disease. his remains are buried on former owner eddie debartalo's property in montana where he has the goal post that was standing during the play. his remains are the exact distance from the post as he was when he made the catch. he will deliver the eulogy at

today. seasonal conditions, nothing too extreme and breezes across the entire bay, whether coming out of the west, south of the bay bridge or coming out of the southwest, north of the bay bridge through the delta. this will start at about 11:00 north of the bay bridge and 2:00 this afternoon south of the bay bridge. the winds out of the northwest gusting 30 along the coasts through at least 9:00 tomorrow evening. a look at san francisco, mostly cloudy and drizzle from 8:00, then we'll start to see the drizzle dry a little bit, especially on the bayside by 10:00. it will hang on the coast side through about noon and then we'll see 60 degree temperatures during the afternoon hours. all right. let's turn it over to alexis and find out about the commute. >> our main issue so far today has been in the south bay, gs are looking better. the far right lane wh we had all of the main laocked you crash scene, but pretty much everyone getting by with no issues right now. that backup really has

until sunday or later because of the heavy smoke. park officials also closed the valley to the public. the fire has burned 58,000 acres and 33% contained. dramatic video to show you, a large bus on mount diablo clearly over the double yellow line, nearly misses a cyclist. one cyclist told us she was warned to get as far right as she could and nearly ended up as paint on the side of the bus. >> if i had not moved over as far as i could, it would not have been a good day for me. i mean a bus that size, that's not able to maneuver and take the sharp curves, it should not be on a mountain. >> a spokesperson for the california state parks says the agency contacted school in charge of the bus. large groups are required to have a permit. but the corners are too tight for a large bus to stay on its side of the roadway, double stripe or not. park officials tell us the chp is reaching out to school groups

50. cloud cover over the san mateo bridge it's a little cleaner than say over the bay bridge where we have mist this morning. as far as the ferry ride the entire bay is going to be breezy this afternoon. it will be cool this morning but warm this afternoon. not as hot as yesterday. in fact, in the south bay we barely get up to 80 this afternoon with high clouds streaming in. start off with 62 this morning. the high clouds and sunshine about 70 a it 8:00. for the north bay, we start off 54 degrees with all ofhat fog out there and mist. we're sunny by noon and 76, hanging out in the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon hours and for our east bay valleys some of our warmest temperatures, most in the mid to upper 80s after starting off at 62 at 8:00 this morning. very comfortable 76 at 8:00. one of the areas we will see the haze this morning. couldn't see mount diablo yesterday during parts of the day. all right. let's bring in alexis to talk about the morning commute. >> overall doing pretty well. we do have one new issue in the east bay if you are traveling

between vacaville and fairfield westbound 80 past manual campos parkway. a disabled suv in the left lane in a blind spot there. some folks are coming close to hitting that. chp on the way to assist that driver and hopefully get that moved offer to the side soon. i want to check out the san mateo bridge starting tolil wes. we did have a disabled vehicle around the mid span. very quickly pushed offer to the shoulder and that is totally gone from the boards now. no delays around the toll plaza and the rest of the way across the bridge. if you ever find yourself driving in idaho better make sure you drive the speed limit. police there are enforcing a new law targeting people who drive too slow in the left lane. also known as the passing lane. so far two people have received a $90 ticket since last month and three others have been warned. state officials say slow-moving cars can cause collisions. the speed limit in idaho is 80 on freeways in rural areas.

she dated a self-proclaimed serial killer. >> daniel drayton is expected of killing a woman and sexually assaulting at least two others and met these women on-line. this morning we're hearing from zenaya barney who thought she had met her dream guy until the relationship took a very dark and violent turn. barney says drayton attacked her at a park when she ended the relationship. >> when he was choking me, i can't even like describe the feeling. that's when i kept feeling like this is it. >> barney says three work men in the park saw what was happening and then helped her. the 26-year-old mom says she's sharing her story to warn others looking for love on-line. investigators say drayton claims to have committed as many as seven murders. the authorities have not been able to verify the crimes ever occurred. now to a story caught on camera, look te overhead, did you see that? goes crashing down a section of

the parking garage. it's the second collapse. you see the right side there had already collapsed. this is in irving, just outside of dallas. so the second collapse happened just a few hours after the first one. altogether in all of this, 30 cars damaged, somewhere were piled on top of each other and others crushed. the good news, no one was injured. officials still investigating what led up to all of this. they have to sift through thousands of pounds of concrete and could take a while. to the showdown over 3d plastic guns, last night a judge put a temporary stop to the release of downloadable blueprints showing how to build an untraceable plastic firearm. a federal judge in seattle issued the restraining order. a texas group called defense distributed is behind the blueprints. the firm had reached a settlement with the trump administration to legally publish the instruction on-line as early as today. ia pushed a judge to blockdg

agreed. marijuana businesses won't be aet up shop in san llancisco's chinatown. the boaredd t of supervisors vo to amend the city's planning code yesterday to prohibit dispepsryes in the neighborhood. there were concerned that pot shops would drive up commercial rental prices and displace long-time chinese residents and businesses. san francisco has reached a first of its kind deal in california to tax uber and lyft rides. the supervisor the ride share s cayompanies agreed to l the city tax a percentage of their revenue. the money will be used for transportation infrastructure projects and here's a breakdown of the tax, a 3.25% tax will wil applied to single use ride, 1.5% stacks will be applied to shared carpool rides. the supervisor has agreed to withdraw his measure which would have placed the decision to tax uber and lyft with voters in november. parents are encouraging their kids to spend more time

meteorologist mike nicco is about to confirm that. >> new month, same weather pattern. little tweak to it today, though. hi, everybody. the winds are faster coming off the ocean. you can see the wind bars blowing from the coast to inland and that's brought us once again drizzle and mist and look at the gray, clouds covering about all of our neighborhoods. now, as far as what's going to happen in the accuweather 12-hour planner, waking up the same this morning, cloud cover, mist, drizzle, and temperatures will see a little bit of a cooling, couple degrees near 70 to 80 noon around the bay and inland, 74 to 87 at 4:00. how about that commute. here's alexis with the details. >> looking busy here at the bay bridge toll plaza. metering lights officially on about 5:38. i think maybe they were turned on a few minutes before that. filled up before that. looking at those normal delays back into the maze. just hearing about a crash around the 580 and 80 merge been the maze a little further but does not sound serious.
