and floria hakimi and lara shepherd and na individu individual hakimi and nasim ghanadan. she is a realtor in danville and on the website says she treats her clients like family and her family did confirm she was on a business trip being on board this plane. this plane crashed in a shopping center parking lot in santa ana close to the airport. the pilot needed to make an emergency landing but crashed in the parking lot killing everyone on board. a witness heard a loud noise from the engine. >> i don't know if he lost control or there was something wrong with the engine. but you can hear everything was loud. >> reporter: no one was hurt on the ground. again, the pilot did declare an emergency in the air and given permission to land at orange

county john wayne airport moments before the crash. the ntsb is investigating the cause. reporting live in danville, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. developing news from san rafael this morning where police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries. authorities say a san rafael officer shot and critically hurt the man they say was threatening police with two knives. the shooting happened just after 9:00 last night on verde and belvedere streets. police tried negotiating with the suspect and using less than lethal rounds of shots on that man with no effect. the man was rushed to a local hospital after the shooting. police have not released his identity yet. >> we are continuing to follow the breaking news in the bay bridge. a deadly shooting has shut down all traffic on the lower deck. >> alexis following the impact it's having on our early commute. >> yeah. as of about five minutes ago they told us that one lane is now open. i'm not seeing anybody moving

yet though. definitely waiting to see these vehicles put it into gear here and start to move. that has not happened. we're seeing all brake lights for folks leaving san francisco trying to get to the east bay. if you are heading out i definitely recommend heading down to san mateo bridge or north and using the richmond san rafael bridge instead and we are working on getting a live report from the scene as soon as possible and that's an investigation for the deadly shooting that happened at about 2:23 this morning. a look at that backup it has not changed whatsoever from the last few minutes for that east bay 80 backup there. folks leaving san francisco trying to get back to the east bay. we're keeping a close eye on this. alexis, abc 7, if you want updates via twitter as well. let's check in with meteorologist mike nicco with a look at the forecast. >> you are never more than seven minutes away. let's look at the cloud cover or lack of. a little mist around half moon bay. take a look from emeryville towards san francisco, on a fog-free morning so far for the bay and the coast.

we'll see a little bit slip across san francisco in the golden gate as we head through the morning hours. it will go back to the coast and we're going to see and feel warmer temperatures and noon. 61 at the coas 72 ahe bay, 85 inland. look at the warming trend in the afternoon hours, 93 inland to 80 around the bay to still comfortable at the coast, 62. towards 7:00 still a little warm, 73 to 84. the coast you may want to grab a coat, 59 degrees. triple digits coming up in the accuweather seven-day forecast. see you in a few minutes with that. back to the breaking news on the bay bridge where one person has died and another wounded in a shooting involving three cars. >> that's right. and all eastbound lanes west of treasure island were closed for some time. we got amanda del castillo joining us live. what's the update? >> everything is still at a standstill here. we're seeing people jumping out of their cars and walking back

to the entrance of the bay bridge, really because they've been here about two hours now. i know that alexis mentioned that one lane did open up. we haven't seen any type of movement at all since then, though. this is all the result of a fatal shooting and subsequent crash that happened earlier this morning. right now you're taking a live look at people just really parked on the bay bridge. what we know about that shooting and crash is that it happened just before 2:30 this morning. we know that a driver said they heard about five shots and then saw an suv kind of careening into them. that suv ended up crashing into that driver who heard those shots. it turns out that the driver of the suv that crashed died of gunshot wounds. there was another passenger who also had gunshot wounds and another who was injured. three people in total in that suv. we know again this is a fatal shooting that driver of the suv as i mentioned still no

window and flagged down a police officer who happened to be driving by. last night friends stopped by to pay their repsects to the family. >> they were really sweet to me. they would always talk to me. one had a really fun attitude and was really loving and they were good girls. >> investigators won't say why, but they believe the fire is suspicious and calling it an active criminal investigation. the wildfires burning in mendocino, and lake counties, exploded in size over the weekend to a combined 267,000 acres burned. >> and new evacuation orders were put into place yesterday. others were lifted though as firefighters were to get a handle on the river and ranch fires. cal fire says stable weather allowed crews to suppress some of the fire activity yesterday. the fires have destroyed 68 homes, 15,000 structures are still threatened, though. crews have 58% containment of the river fire, 23% of the ranch

fire. crews from australia and new zealand are expected to arrive in redding to help in the battle against the carr fire. the deployment made up of nearly 150 specialists in fire management. the carr fire has burned 160,000 acres of land and 43% contained. yosemite valley will remain closed indefinitely as firefighters struggle to make progress against the ferguson fire. it's burned 89,000 acres since it started three weeks ago and only 38% contained. the west park service had hoped to reopen the valley over the weekend. they say roads into the area are in too much danger from the flames. and you can stay on top of any breaking news updates with our abc 7 news app. sloe download it and enable push alerts. >> bart police searching for attackers who targeted passengers last week. the most recent attack happened saturday morning. a 23-year-old san jose state

student headed home for the weekend was attacked from behind at theic ct suffered a concussion, broken teeth and possible broken jaw. police say the suspect got away. police also are looking for this man, 27-year-old salomon espinoza accused of using a box cutter to slash two passengers at the macarthur bart station friday night. both victims survived. he did not know them. three bart officers and two oakland officers at the station at the time the suspect managed to escape the station and still is on the loose right now. police say he is a transient who is known to frequent oakland. it's where 18-year-old nia wilson was stabbed to death two weeks ago. john cowell charged in her murder. our story this morning, the breaking news in the bay bridge, that could make the morning commute a mess. >> yeah. traffic on the lower deck really at a shut down still because of the deadly shooting and also a

average the first day of the warmth. jessica? >> thank you. a new study shows lyme disease is on the rise in california. lyme is spread by ticks in the summer months. quest diagnostics looked at lab tests from 6 million people and researchers found a large spike in the disease between 2016 and 2017. they say there was a significant jump in california with 485 people showing symptoms. that is an increase of almost 200%. lyme disease can cause fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash. all right. taking a look at our srig alert. the lower deck of the bay bridge at a standstill. this is an ongoing investigation into a deadly shooting and crash that happened around 2:23 this morning. all lanes were shut down for about two hours. just before we went on the air at 4:30, they did tell us that chp opened one lane up on the lower deck of the bay bridge. we saw traffic moving for a few minutes. . that is no longer the case.
