driver's license processing center today where one of the new options is available. take a look. it's an automated kiosk to help customers check in. the dmv is also bringing in more employee, opening some offices earlier and working on a text notification program to alert waiting customers. people in san jose liked the idea of the kiosks, but weren't sure they would be effective. >> i don't see many people using them. i think because many people don't know how to use computers or something. but it doesn't seem to help. >> today state lawmakers questioned the dmv director about the wait time. she apologized saying they're caused by a higher demand for new federally mandated real ids. >> elon musk rocked investors with 61 characters on twitter about his multimillion-dollar plans to take the electric carmaker private. nasdaq even suspended the buying and selling of tesla's stock for a short time. but when trading resumed tesla gained more than $37 in value

closing at $379.57. musk says no final decision has been made, but he explained that tesla shareholders could remain as investors or have their stock bought at $420 per share. the larger of two fires that make up the mendocino complex fire incident is burning out of control. tonight it's just 20% contained. that's down from 30% last night, and it's moved from lake county into colusa county. firefighters are gaining control of the smaller of the two fires near ukiah, allowing many evacuees to return home. people in upper lake today said firefighters did an incredible job holding back the flames. >> at points, hundreds. 100 feet high back there. it was just like an oven coming towards us. >> the whole back is burnt, and the sides over here. but they stuck it out and saved our park. >> the combined fires have grown to 292,000 acres, becoming the largest wildfire incident in california history. president trump spoke up for the first time today about the
