commuter bus arrived at the salesforce transit center. >> the multibillion dollar projects opened in soma between mission and howard and jessica castro is on the first bus that dramatically drove through the ribbon. she joins us live from the transbay terminal. hi, jessica. >> hi, good morning, alexis and reggie. what a difference a few minutes makes because my bus was just here and already took off and left. the weekday commute is in full swing this morning on a monday. we had folks very excited to be on that first bus on board getting to the salesforce transit center and i want to show you the video from a few minutes ago. we went through the balloon arches. there was confetti and i can tell you when on board theg made our way into the transit center. a lot of anticipation. people kind of getting up, trying to look and see what the new commute would be like as they rolled into the transit center. i actually made ariend on board. his name is charles.

by the way, he says he watches us every morning so i was grateful for that. he told me he wanted to be a part of this commute that he works right nearby and this is going to be very life changing for him because it's closer to his job to get here to the transit center. they thinks a lot more people will ride the busses to san francisco and take a listen to what he said. >> how does it feel to know you were one of the first commuters? you were the first commuter to come in on this bus into the transit center? >> it was great. i mean, you know, i'm sure everybody was kind of excited about coming in today. definitely excited. closer to my job too. >> reporter: and, of course, it was a transit center. pretty hefty price tag. one million square feet. four stories. waed to showfinn op part

growing concern about a 19-year-old woman in phoenix who hasn't been seen in more than a week. cara bergman. last seen august 4th and she recently moved to phoenix from san diego to live with her then boyfriend. the two broke up and bergman moved in with a friend. that friend said bergman was noticeably upset the day she was seen the last time she was seen and left for work early. google always knows where you are. even if you tell the company not to track you. an investigation by the associated press discovered whether you use an android device or iphone, the company services record your movements. google stores location information when the map app is opened. daily weather updates will hone in on your location. google responded saying, quote, we provide clear descriptions of these tools and robust controls so people can turn them on or off and delete histories at any time. i'm about to tweet a link to show you how you can perhaps get some of that tracking to get turned off. this video is getting a lot of attention on social media.

the advisory from contra costa health services says the smoke could irritate the eyes, nose or throat. >> crewsinanefe:0. the chp says the landon i side. the fire department says it took 45 minutes to rescue six people inside the van. all of them have minor injuries. a total of three vehicles were involved and two other people had to go to the hospital. they are expected to survive. chp says one driver was taken into custody and the cause of the wreck is under investigation. two teenagers were killed in a crash in walnut creek over the weekend and the chp says the driver was under the influence. >> the driver's family is disputing that. abc 7 news reporter matt keller is in the newsroom with more. >> the driver 18-year-old ramya ram my was placed under arrest

berkeley faces murder charges for a crash that killed a pedestrian. the chp says the victim's car broke down in the middle of 880 in oakland yesterday morning. investigators say 56-year-old murray butler did not see the car and hit the victim. officers say they smelled alcohol on his breath and when arrested butler has three previous dui convictions. happening today, federal investigators will send the black boxes from a stolen passenger plane to washington, d.c. >> this story is wild. they found the flight data recorder and part of the cockpit recorder in the plane's wreckage south of seattle yesterday. the devices should provide clues about what was going on inside the cockpit of the horizon air turboprop. you see it there. 29-year-old richard russell stole the plane and flew it more than an hour including doing wild loops. the plane crashed into an island. people who knew russell are stunned. >> you could tell he was in pain

kind of seemed a little delusional and i was just shocked to see that someone who was so nice, so helpful, and caring actually, he cared about his job, to do such a thing. >> authorities are trying to confirm if recovered human remains are russell. he was a grounds service worker for horizon air and didn't have a pilot's license. developing news involving an alaska airlines that had to divert from san francisco to new orleans yesterday afternoon. the airline is still searching for what caused a strong and mysterious odor in the cabin. the plane had 136 people on board and landed safely in los angeles. passengers were rebooked on other flights. developing business news this morning, bayer is taking a huge financial hit following a san francisco jury's $289 million verdict against monsanto which is owned by the drug giant. on friday the jury ruled in favor of a former groundskeeper who said exposure to monsanto's roundup weed killer caused the

cancer. this morning shares of bayer plunged 11% in trading in europe. bayer bought monsanto in june tore $66 billion. the san francisco verdict opens the door for thousands of other claims involving roundup. the grass fire that broke out in solano on friday is 100% contained and burned more than 2,000 acres and destroyed one structure. look at this video. 60 shelter animals are alive thanks to the quick thinking and the hustle of vacaville police officers. the department posted this on their facebook page. it shows the officers rushing in to the spc of solano county. the flames were on top of the building at the time. all the animals were evacuated and this morning they are safe in foster homes. a round of applause to the men and women. that's incredible. >> that was such a quick thinking there. glad they were able to do that. if you ride bart soon you will see fleet of the future train cars. according to "the san francisco examiner" ten cars will be on
