increased the death toll in the genoa bridge tragedy. at least 35 people are dead after cars tumbled more than 100 feet from the morandi bridge during a rainstorm. you see some of the images there. officials are focusing on a possible structural weakness in. heavy equipment and dogs are at the scene as officials search for more victims. prosecutors have opened an investigation into this tragedy. police in london are focusing on three locations in their search for clues in the suspected terror attack near parliament. scotland yard raided the addresses hours after a car slammed into security barriers. they have identified the 29-year-old suspect. born in sudan. he was arrested following the high-speed chase through london. investigators say the man was not known to police before the incident. now to those severe storms rolling through the plains overnight. oklahoma city was hit with heavy rain, gusty winds, hail, and

yosemite national park is now open. the park closed for nearly three weeks due to smoke from the raging california wildfires. visitors were welcomed once again yesterday. smoke still lingers in the air. and closomed. the closure came at the height of tourist season, costing the park and nearby communities millions of dollars. quite the milestone in nearly one year after hurricane maria hammered the island, the entire island now has power.

officer seen on video hitting a man is facing assault charges. the officer resigned over the weekend and turned himself in last night. prosecutors say they have other evidence besides the video. the victim suffered a fractured jaw and ribs. a second officer is not charged but is on administrative leave. the so-called "red tide" is forcing the governor to declare a state of eenrgmen icysen the red tide algae outbreak has had a devastating effect on marine life and tourism. killing countless sea creatures, including hundreds of endangered sea turtles. and even a whale shark. this year's red tide is the longest on record since 2006. police are investigating a bizarre incident caught on camera at a zoo. you can see it here. a man at the los angeles zoo climbs over a fence. he reaches over and slaps the backside of rosie the hippo. only running away when the hippo's mother looked up at him. afterwards, he seems to celebrate by doing a little dance and laugh.

we'll see sunshine inland by midday and 4:00 most of us from the coast will see the sunny sky. cool for august in the 70s and in the 80s. already have issues on the axis >> i want to take you first to emeryville, a multicar crash on westbound 80 before ashby. you can see the emergency lights flashing and flares set up. the two right lanes blocked which started with a disabled vehicle in the roadway, turned into a four-car crash. they just did not see the vehicle sitting there. have not gotten word on injuries. an ambulance was sent to the scene and waiting for the tow truck. we are improving. we did have all lanes blocked. we're down to a couple lanes blocked and no significant delay approaching that. keeping a close eye on it. also have what sounds like a serious situation near sfo. a crash possibly involving a pedestrian. we will head there next. >> thank you. develop news now from the south bay, right now san jose police still searching for the driver who smashed into a car and a home. >> police called to a house on
