live wherebc 7 news. decis mansion murder mystery. a wealthy woman, her boyfriend and the body guard at the center of it all accused of killing the father of the woman's children. i'm jessica castro. thanks for joining us. we have a better time table of when this high profile case will go to trial. amanda is in red wood city. >> reporter: two of the three suspects being charged were in court this morning including tiffany lee. the biggest development is

confirmation that the trial will be delayed from september until sometime next year. for now the two men involved remain behind bars. tiy lee took no questions. the wealthy woman is being charged in the 2016 murder of keith green, her ex-boyfriend and father of her two young children. in april of 2016 green vanished after a meeting about a child custody issue. his body was later found in a field with a bullet wound through his neck. s.w.a.t. teams raided finding enough evidence. lee's former body guard was also arrested. he pleaded no contest. in february he cut a deal with the district attorney's office that could lead to prosecutors potentially dropping the murder charge against him in exchange for his truthful testimony against lee. the two men charged in the case

remain in jail. lee is the only one out on bail after having posted property and cash worth nearly $70 million. the case will be delayed from september until sometime next year. we know lee will be back in court august 29 a:00 at 8:30 a. for the setting hearing. for now reporting live at the red wood city hall of justice. san francisco police are investigating a stabbing at 11th and market streets. the victim was taken to the hospital. the person's condition is unknown and police say at this time it is unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other. we have reached out for comment. a pedestrian was hit and killed near sfo this morning. officials say the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on northbound 101 just after 4:00 this morning. it's not clear why the pedestrian was on the highway. at one point all northbound lanes were shut down but all

lanes reopened around 7:00 a.m. the pedestrian's identity has not yet been released. new details on an accident that left 51-year-old patrick rickets dead. the contractor involved in the incident inside the twin peaks tunnel has been linked to almost 50 work place violations over the last ten years according to the san francisco examiner. back in november of 2017 the examiner said an answer was no whether asked whether either had been cited for serious violations in the last democratic aid. > -- in the last decade. the mendocino complex fires continue to burn. the ranch fire is 64% contained and scorched nearly 315,000 acres. the river fire has burned nearly 49,000 acres and is 100%

contained. we have learned that cal fire honor guard and family will escort the family. he is the utah firefighter who was on the front lines of the mendocino complex fires. he was injured sunday and died the following day. a procession will begin at approximately 2:30 this afternoon. and it will end at the sonoma county airport in santa rosa. take a look at this map that shows the latest numbers in the carr fire. flames have burned more than 211,000 acres and is 67% contained. we do want to head to meteorologist drew tuma who is in for mike this morning to find out how the conditions will help the fire fight around the state. >> we will take you to the mendocino complex right now. temperature on either side of about 70 degrees at this hour. the great news, winds are really

light. that has been the theme the past couple of days. the weather is certainly cooperating with firefighters at this hour. you can clearly see both from the carr fire and the mendocino complex the smoke that continues to pour into the atmosphere. smoke particles continue to swirl south. we will see a little haze in the atmosphere in parts of the region. the smoke forecast has hazy skies mainly in the north bay and inland. you will notice the haze. along the coast we have better air quality thanks to an on shore breeze we have. right now the wind coming off the ocean water from 10 to 20 miles per hour. also seeing pfunshine already. much warmer air is moving in for the weekend. the full accuweather forecast in a minute. developing news from the south bay, san jose police are searching for the driver who

smashed into a car and a home. police were called just before 11:00 p.m. last night. when officers arrived they found two cars smashed together in the drive way, one had considerable damage. it is unclear if the home has any structural damage. whom ever caused the crash ran from the scene before police got there. we know bay area bad roads cost us. aaa.org has calculated the amount of money we lose each year because of roads. pot holes, cracks and resulting cars damaged really does add up. here are numbers. drivers spend on average nearly $3,000 a year just from bad roads. students at margery

welcome back. the new developments in the deadly bridge collapse in genoa, italy. italy's deputy premiere is now blaming the incident on a lack of maintenance by the private company that operates the tol highways. however, an official cause has not yet been released. authorities said that nearby apartment buildings might have to be destroyed because of infrastructure concerns. new information this morning on the man accused of crashing into security barriers outside london's parliament. british media outlets identify the suspect. three people were hurt in the attack yesterday. late last night a tow truck removed the car from the crash site. investigators have raided several properies in central

england for evidence in the case. the prosecution has finished its closing arguments in the fraud trial of one-time trump campaign chairman paul manafort. his lawyers are expected to get their turn this afternoon. manafort is facing a potential life sentence if convicted. we have more from the federal courthouse in alexandria, virginia. >> reporter: the jury could be hours from starting deliberations in the case of paul manafort. the man once in charge of donald trump's campaign for president on trial. special counsel robert mueller's team delivering closing arguments. one said when you follow the trail of mr. manafort's money it is littered with lies. the government is working to convince jurors that the man committed bank fraud. >> what needs to happen for you to win? >> reporter: the defense team ready to tell the jury prosecutors have proved nothing.

now your accuweather forecast with drew tuma. >> we are tracking the cloud cover shrinking as the marine layer pulls back to the coast. live doppler 7 along with satellite showing you have patchy fog mainly close to the bay. as you go inland sunnier skies are moving in. we will take you to walnut creek where sunshine is dominating your sky. you do notice the haze in the atmosphere. we talked about that from smoke to the wild fires in the north. we will continue to have the haze. numbers where the sun is we have reached the 70 degree mark or exceeded that. livermore at 67.

we have slowly seen the cloud cover erode away we are holding in the mid and low 60s right now. the bigger picture, there is an area of low pressure to our north and west. that is what is keeping the fog in place for much of the morning slowly pushing back to the coast. it is bringing in cooler air this afternoon. what we are noticing this big area of high pressure will move in over the weekend and warm up temperatures rather rapidly especially inland. today we are comfortable in the south bay. a lot of sunshine, 78 for santa clara. 76 red wood city. cooler in pacifica at 58 degrees. downtown san francisco 64. 58 and cloudier in daly city. north bay about 80 the high. sonoma about 91. clover dale into the east bay upper 60s to 69 for berkeley. 70 for oakland. in the 80s we go later on today.

87 the high in brentwood. if you are traveling you do notice the central valley is warm in the 80s and 90s. l.a. going for a high of 83 degrees with lots of sunshine. your 12 hour day planner we have a lot of sunshine later this afternoon. what is the take away is it will feel cool by august standards with the breeze about 10 to 20 miles per hour. the sun will go down here about 8:02. you will be out and about later on tonight it is a good idea to take your jacket and download the accuweather app. next seven days for you, today we have clouds giving way to sunshine, below average. tomorrow we are kind of back to average where we should be for this time of year. warmer air continues to filter in on friday. by saturday to start off the weekend away from the coast. we are warm to hot. we will see the numbers slowly dip as we head into the early parts of next week. a bit of a temperature swing the next couple of days.

>> you are calling it a summer sizzle on the me qte over yet. thank you. happening today san francisco's newest hospital will get ready for its big grand opening. california pacific medical center is opening its campus replacing saint lou's hospital. the grand opening is august 25. this afternoon hospital staff will take part in a practice run. it looks like business is soaring at delta airlines. the carrier plans to hire more than 1,000 flight attendants. applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school degree or g.e.d., be fluent in english and be able to work in the u.s. get ready for competition because last year delta received more than 270,000 applications for just 1,700 flight attendant

a mischievous 6-year-old girl knows what she wants and how to get it. take a look at these photos of caitlyn posing next to a tower of amazon boxes. she ordered nearly $400 worth of toys without her mom knowing. her mom says she let her daughter order a barbie for doing extra chores but she let her use the phone again to check the shipping status and that is when she saw her chance.
