5:00. president trump wants attorney general jeff sessions to bring a federal lawsuit against opioid makers. according to the centers for disease control and prevention, nearly 40,000 people died from opioid overdoses in the past year. police in colorado have arresed a man suspected of killing his pregnant wife and two young children. christopher watts appeared in court today for the first time. abc news reporter marci gonzalez is live in l.a. with the latest. >> eric, he was just in court a few hours ago. he hasn't entered a plea yet, and police still aren't saying what they think could have motivated him to kill his family. >> handcuffed in court, accused of killing his pregnant wife and two young daughters. the bodies reportedly found on the property of an oil and gas drilling company where chris watts used to work. >> as horrible as this outcome is, our role now is to do everything that we can to determine exactly what occurred. >> say hi. >> shanan watts,
