good friday morning. i'm kendis gibson. >> and i'm linsey davis in for diane macedo. here are some of the top headlines we're following on "world news now." remembrances of lady soul. tributes continue to pour in from aretha franklin fans. from those who met her on tour or at the white house are honoring her. the military parade for this year has been postponed. some officials say it could cost more than $90 million. but james mattis is shooting down that number saying he's received no such estimate. google admits some of its apps and websites do continue to store your location data, even if you've asked it to stop.

he did not collude with russia hogwash. jurors in the fraud trial of former campaign chairman paul manafort are preparing for the second day of deliberations. they ended the first with questions for the judge who urged them to use common sense. here's pierre thomas. >> reporter: president trump's former campaign chairman in a holding cell. the jurors asked for a bigger room, a space wide enough to hold carts upon carts of evidence, 388 exhibits in total. the judge saying you must decide the case solely on what you heard in court and use your common sense. "common sense" invoked by prosecutors. they accused him of defrauding the irs and banks into loaning him more.

they told the jury, use your common sense. does it make sense that paul manafort had 31 overseas accounts and forgot that he had to report them? but manafort's attorneys say they're confident prosecutors did not make their case. soon six men and six women decide if that's true. the jury has gone home, but before leaving, they had four questions for the court, including one where they asked the judge to define reasonable doubt. pierre thomas, abc news, alexandria, virginia. the vatican promises pope francis is on the side of church sex abuse victims. they are reacting to a pennsylvania report that found that hundreds of priests abused children. the vatican says there should be accountability for the abusers and the church leaders who allowed it. one of queen elizabeth's doctors was observing national

cycle to work day when he was hit by a truck and killed in london. dr. peter fisher served the queen for almost 15 years as a member of the royal household. he was 67 years old. we could find out today whether charges will be filed in the case of a shove that went viral. a friend pushed 16-year-old jordan holgerson off a bridge and into a river. she suffered broken ribs and fractured jaw. prosecutors have been trying to decide whether to file charges against 18-year-old taylor smith. you can hear from smith on "good morning america" in her first interview. this weekend is getting off to a soggy start in the mississippi, ohio and tennessee valleys. you can see the storms right there. they are likely to present heavy winds and rain and hail as well. in stillwater, oklahoma, cars were swept away and homes damaged. but leave it to college students
