last year's wildfires, 17 elderly residents and family members sued the oakmont senior living accusing the staff of not taking enough precautions when flames swept through. the case was about to go to trial. terms were not made public. >> the trial for the ghost ship fire defendants is likely to begin early next year. the defendants were in court today charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. an oakland judge threw out plea deals that were agreed upon by both suspects. they want the trial move out of almeda county and will motion for that in november. >> potential jurors in almeda county for the most part have absorbed all o of the designation of character attributes manifested in the press of my client. they have an opinion.

it provides a place to sleep, take a bath, facilities. here's the couple talking about their love. she says as far as she's concerned, she's been mr mrs. jenicker, this makes it official. but this project and program is also going to help them get back on their feet, find housing and find work. also it is women's month in cape town and so they're wedding and that celebration was just one of the many events that's going on right now. >> so how long have they been living on the streets? >> according to reports, she has be -- he has been living on the streets for about 40 years and his wife since she was 14. this is a fairy day couple and i want to see them have a fairy day ending too. >> i'm glad there's a place for that and i'm glad there's social services because some people that live on the street need a place to shower and wash their clothes. they want those things that some of us take for granted.
