official time from chp. we'll take a look at drive times coming up around 6:10. >> thank you. several updates on the mass shooting at a madden video game tournament in florida. a high school in southern california has identified one of the two victims killed. >> calabasas high school tweeted saying they are heartbroken to learn elijah clayton was murdered. the 24-year-old had played football for the school. the ea sports website said clayton was one of the best at the game and the identity of the second victim has not been released and we're learning that six people remain hospitalized. five other victims have been released. the suspected gunman who also died has been identified. he is 24-year-old david katz from baltimore, maryland. police say he turned the gun on himself. the "l.a. times" reports katz was eliminated from the competition and then shot multiple people. new olympvernight a high-sp chase over the san mateo bridge.

three patrol cars chase a vehicle on westbound 92 around 11:30 in hayward. the chp saying the driver eventually headed on to southbound 101 and stopped in east palo alto. we're working to find out why the chase bgan a big relief for san francisco muni commuters this morning. the twin peaks tunnel is reopen after being closed for two months for repairs. >> abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live with reaction from riders this morning. >> good morning. commuters are telling us this is a huge relief, that it was a big inconvenience this summer. here is a look at some of the first trains going into that tunnel this monday morning. the tunnel was shut down so crews could replace the tracks, improve the drainage system and do earthquake retro fitting. this opened on saturday but this is the first commute where people headed into downtown will get to use it this morning. one commuter said he avoided going downtown when he could because of the closure. >> oh, it was like i would go

downtown a quarter as much because of the hassle of getting on the train and it would take at least an hour because you would have to go to the bart or take the l train and wait for that in the hot sun. wait for the transfer. yeah. so i'm excited that we now have a tunnel. >> reporter: the tunnel connects the west side of san francisco to downtown. officials say they got the work done on time. they were very proud of that. however, a worker on this project was killed when a beam fell and hit him, 51-year-old patrick ricketts was a signal technician for shimmick construction. the company has a history of safety violations. this prompted muni chief to say future bids on projects will go through a more thorough evaluation. live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> thank you. san francisco police continue to search for the

outside and come back when you're road? cool off. >> cool off basically. >> reporter: the stakes can be high at these tournaments. competitors often travel across the country to participate. gaming tournaments can offer cash prizes to the winners. live in redwood city, matt keller, abc 7 news. >> thank you. happening today, counselors will be on hand at armijo high school in fairfield. >> this after a shooting that killed a 16-year-old and put the school on lockdown. police identified the victim as omar willis of fairfield. an 18-year-old was injured. the shooting happened just after 5:00 friday night right before the kickoff of the jv football game. police arrested one suspect hiding in the school's gymnasium and officers found a second suspect at the house nearby. take a look here, this is the man police think stabbed another passenger at the macarthur bart station saturday night. these are new images him from surveillance cameras.

there was some sort of argument on the train before the attack. the victim cut on his thum the suspect was seen running from the station. it's where nia wilson was stabbed to death and her sister was stabbed and survived. the suspect john lee cowell could face the death penalty if he is convicted. in the east bay an hours long standoff ended peacefully with an arrest. new video shows the tense situation outside a home in antioch last night. according to our media partner "the east bay times" police responded to reports of a domestic dispute. they were told a man hit and threatened a family member before barricading himself inside the home. police drew their guns and brought in a crisis intervention team after learning the suspect could be armed and he surrendered nearly two and a half hours later the public invited to pay respects and honor john m serv wk. the senator died saturday after a battle with brain cancer. former president george w. bush has been asked to speak at

mccain's service. former president obama scheduled to be there. here are the plans to honor mccain this week. on wednesday he will lie in state in the arizona state capitol that would have been his 82nd birthday. his memorial service is scheduled at the baptist church. >> we learned this morning president trump nixed issuing a statement praising the heroism and life of senator mccain. according to the "washington post," press secretary sara sanders and john kelly pushed mr. trump to issue an official statement lauding mccain for his senate service and wanted the president to say he was a hero. instead, president trump opted for a short tweet saying, my deepest sympathies and respect go out to the family of senator john mccain, our hearts and s e house, flags at the white house were lowered to half staff this

weekend after mccain's passing, but as you can see this morning, they are back to full staff. back in the east bay, firefighters quickly stopped flames from a fast-moving grass fire from reaching any buildings. abc 7 was on interstate 580 as smoke rose above castro valley yesterday afternoon. you can see it here in the video. the fire broke out near palo verde road. the fire department tells us it burned 48 acres before they had it contained. cal fire helped attack the flames with ground crews and aircraft. crews are getting control of the two major wildfires still burning in northern california. the ranch fire is 67% contained this morning. it has burned 402,000 acres of land and it's the largest fire in state history. the rch fire fully contained by some time next week. the carr fire in the redding area is 96% contained burned

229,000 acres and destroyed more than a thousand homes. the fire one of the most destructive in state history. cal fire isn't sure when it's going to have full containment let's take a look at what's going on with our temperatures. you can see a lot of mid-50s to upper 50s. we have alameda and newark and cupertino at about 62 degrees. let's take a look at commute and the golden gate bridge not all that foggy but definite thick marine layer above it and every once in a while letting out a little mist, not really a lot of drizzle, but mist hanging in the air. so watch out for that. about the next hour and a half or so. that's why i have yellow caution for driving on your commute. cool, comfy for the ferry ride, no matter if it's this morning or afternoon. pretty calm and then mass transit just watching the air because just outside our borders in the central valley we're going to have some really nasty air. i'll show you that coming up. first let's talk about berkeley unified school district waking

so aite bit over an hour. carpool lanes looking great. everyone else certainly stop and go through the metering lights. the rest of the way into san francisco looks great. westbound 80 to the maze, five minutes, freemont to san jose in the green at 15 and no delays for northbound 280, highway 101 to cupertino in the green, taking up to 12 minutes new details this morning on a crash involving a tesla and a san jose fire truck. we've learned officers arrested the driver for dui. investigators say michael tran slammed into the back of the fire truck early saturday morning as fire crews responded to another crash on highway 101 near coyote creek. tran told an officer he thought he had autopilot on at the time. investigators have not determined if the car was in self-driving mode. they treated him and his passenger for minor injuries. new this morning, a crackdown on drunk drivers. vallejo police handed out 20 tickets as part of a dui checkpoint. the department said it screened
