carlos? >> yeah, we're not far from the front lines here in the staging area. you can probably see the orange glow behind me. the fire continues to burn tonight moving east ward. the good news out here is that no homes have been lost, but today's heat and strong winds helped dry the flames. the flames from the snell fire scene intensify into the late evening hours, around 200 homes in the berryessa estates neighborhood threatened and under mandatory evacuation orders. >> grabbed a few things, got the dog and left. >> sharon and don heed it had warning, packing up what they could. watch the plume of smoke from a safe distance. >> we've lived in this community for 24 years. and just in a matter of minutes things can go, so they are possessions that can be replaced.

>> some decided to stay behind? we're getting stuff ready in case we have to leave. >> one resident even took a garden hose and sprayed down her house, a last-minute effort to protect her property. >> we've seen time and time again people wait until the last minute and that's really what we don't want to see happen, especially incidents like this where we're in small canyon areas with really homes that are difficult to get to. >> fire crews moved in as many resources as possible to save homes. a big part of the fire fight happening from the air. >> i had several air tankers fighting this fire as well as resources on the ground. hand crews, really converging on this incident to get it under control. >> this fire only the latest pattern of what's already been an active fire season. and there is an evacuation center at the pope valley farm center nearby. in the meantime, firefighters

home that the weather cooperates overnight so they can make some progress on this fire. reporting live in napa county, abc 7 news. , now, the weather has been such a big factor driving the wild fires in california this year. >> for a look at what firefighters are dealing with in napa, let's get to lisa. >> the temperatures rebounded today back into the 90s, so it was a warm and dry day with those winds out of the north, no fog at all. 70s right now, 1% relative humiliated a slight gust at 11 miles an hour. so the winds over the next 24 hours will be calm to start but will be breezy out of the west tomorrow, 13 to 17 miles an hour. even though temperatures are going to be just a few degrees cooler tomorrow, maybe three or so, it's really the middle of the week where the temperatures go way down and not only do we get a break in the north bay mountains but the entire bay

magnitude earthquake hit just after 1:00 this afternoon. it was centered in oakland. people reported feeling a quick shake, but no damage or injuries. it certainly caught the attention of many people. look at the reactions an social media. one person compared it to a big truck going by her house. another person posted they thought a car hit a wall in the garage. this one sums it up. felt that one. new at 11:00, anti-semitic fliers naming a white supremacists group have been found in five east bay sin nothings ahead of the jewish holidays. more on the rent uptick on racist progressed in the bay area. >> regional director of the anti-defamation league says someone placed these anti-semitic fliers at five east bay synagogues. >> it's important shine a light on hate, to expose it.
