coast 60s. and get ready for some cooler numbers coming up, chris. >> francis, thanks. in the north bay more than 100 homes are in deng ther morning because of a wildfire burn iingn napa county. mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for the berryessa estates. and the fire is 10% contained. carlos is near the firelines. >> reporter: the flames from the snell fire seem to intensified into the late evening hours. and homes in the berryessa neighborhood are threatened and under evacuation ord oers. >> grabbed a new things and grabbed the dog and left. >> reporter: sharon and don thigpen watched the plume of smoke smoke from a safe distance. >> we have lived in the community for 24 year, and in a matter of minutes, things can go.

firefighters are hoping to make progress on this fire. further up north, the delta fire continues to burn in shasta county and nearly 50 miles of i-5 are closed today. the crews will meet and evaluate the freeway and come up with a plan for the reopenin. the delta fire has burned 40,000 acres and 5% contained, but with a slight change of the weather the firefighters are hoping to gain ground to combat the flames. >> the biggest challenge is going to be the fire behavior and we are hoping for a slightly more moderate fire behavior and less extreme with the fire changes that we have seen. >> they say that the burn areas are a challenge to work in because of thegh terrain, and not a good road system in place in case they have to outrun the flames. in the south bay, firefighters are investigating a two-alarm fire that displaced a
