so no lanes are blocked. alexis, thank you. in the south bay, a scary incident at a high school, and parents jumping into action. >> the driver of a stolen suv barreled onto campus. abc 7 news reporter with how this all ended. matt? >> reporter: good morning, reggie and jessica. what a scary ordeal for parents at gilroy high school yesterday. police say the suspect is a former police officer, had access to firearms, but his most dangerous weapon was his car. >> the car's still moving, guys! watch out for the car. it's still moving! >> reporter: several hundred fifth and sixth graders were playing pop warner parents rushed to close the gates leading to the field. witnesses say they also went after the man in the car. >> he just started throwing

car. >> reporter: the chase ended at the baseball field. an officer shot at the suspect, believing he was going to run him down with his car. no one was injured. the suspect surrendered. families were told to shelter in place. some in the locker rooms until they were given the all-clear. the suspect has not been identified. he has no direct ties to the gilroy area. matt keller, abc 7 news. thank you, matt. someone will repel down the millennium tower to try to check out a cracked window. an attempt on saturday to get a better look with a drone failed when it crashed. workers say they want to photograph the damaged window and tape up the glass from the outside. the association believes the crack has nothing to do with the building's sinking and tilting issues. activists reportedly are

planning to crash governor brown's climate change conference in san francisco. 30,000 people marched in the city against climate change. according to the chronicle, activists say the governor has done little to curb polluting oil and gas drilling in the state. they're predicting a large turnout at the global climate action summit. the three-day event starts wednesday a lot mosconi center. les moonves is responding to new sexual misconduct claims against him. in a statement last night, moonves called the allegationings untrue. as candice gibson tells us, it's still not clear whether the ousted leader will receive any severance. >> reporter: six additional women are coming forward with allegationings against les moonves. phyllis golden-gottlieb said he sexually assaulted her in 1986. he reaches up and pulls me up and throw me, i mean hard, against the the wall.

it destroyed power poles. parts of the neighborhood still don't have electric terrorist. that's just one of the challenges homeowners. we have some dead tree issues. and some other stuff. but mostly it's going to be a big job getting all the palms off the ground. it got hit here pretty hard. >> it's a step forward. it's kind of hard. like i said, it's been a long four months. >> steam is still spewing from several fissures in the area. experts don't know when it will erupt again. gas prices could drop later this month. prices could go down two to four cents per gallon because refineries are ending production of summer blend gas. the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.91. the price for a gallon of regular gas is higher here in the bay area. it costs $3.65 in san jose.
