about. >> parking lot accidentally sent info it got from its cameras to federal agencies, including i.c.e. matt keller live in fremont at the warm springs station. matt? >> reporter: yes, reggie. bart says this was an accident. that license plate reader system was on and taking pictures of tens of thousands of license plates at the mcarthur bart stphaeu station in oakland. the information from the surveillance cameras was being sent to the northern california regional intelligence center into a database i.c.e. can access. a parking lot is spokesman said the bart board told the police department in april 2016 not to turn them on. but at some point they got activated. east bay times reports bart sent pictures of 57,632 license plates to the database from at least january through august of last year. in november, the police department figured out they were recording and had the license plate readers powered off and

completely uninstalled. bart says it has asked to have o all the information deleted. a bart board meeting is being held this morning at 9:00. live in fremont, matt keller, abc 7 news thank you, matt. also on the agenda for bart, they will consider a policy to ban travel for its staff to nine states. some say they discriminate against the lbgt community. there would be exceptions, for example, if bart needs to meet contractual obligations or comply with federal requests to appear committees. this would go into effect october 1st if approved. a statue in san francisco civic center that some call racist and demeaning will not be removed. the city's board of appeals reconsidered its decision in april to overturn the early days

sculpture. it reports the commission will begin working to take down the statue immediately and safely store it >> a group of san francisco police officers accused in a racist text scandal could still be in trouble seven years later. the officers are accused of sending racist, sexist and homophobic texts. these were uncovered in 2012 during a federal corruption probe. a superior court judge stopped proceedings for disciplinary action against officers. the city can move ahead. that means the officers is could end up getting fired. two senior care centers criticized for their evacuations during the north bay wildfires are fighting back against an effort to revoke their licenses. the department of social services has received a notice of defense from oakmont senior living. it operates in santa rosa is.
