at the coast side by noontime. pleasant at the coast. it will be breezy, upper 70s to low 80s inland and 70s around the bay. we are going talk about a warm upcoming up in the seven day outlook. kate? >> thanks, lisa. oakland police shared these photos on twitter of a car at 42nd avenue and interstate 880. they dealt with with a large side show activity throughout east oakland. this happened around 1:30. police say rocks and bottles were thrown at the officers and the crowd fired multiple gunshots. it is unclear a irrts weref made. a scary situation. passengers had to evacuate, some leaving their stuff behind after the station filled with smoke. katie explained what happened.

new this morning, investigators say embers from a fireplace sparked a house fire in walnut creek chlgt this happened around 5:30 last night. contra costa county fire officials say the embers landed on the wood shingled roof. that caused the fire to spread to the attic. crews were able to get the fire under control quickly and fortunately, nobody was hurt. fema will provide $4 million to rebuild a fire station. it burned down in last october's tubs fire in the north bay. the funding and insurance payment will ensure they can replace the fire station. fema only committed $1 million, originally. a group of officials lobbied d.c. lawmakers for the money. there is major recognition for young sailors who rescued a

sranded kayaker. it happened off richmond. the commander of the coast guard sector san francisco presented members of the sea scout program with awards yesterday. back in july, the kids were on their summer cruise when they heard a broadcast about the missing kayaker. they spotted him in the water near the richmond-san rafael bridge. >> it was surreal. we saw them off the bow. we dropped the sail, came around for him, got him on board. >> the coast guard commander says the scouts saved the man's life. he's been drifting in 60 degree water for almost six hours. a santa rosa family says they are relieved after a judge ruled a 5-year-old girl will be alerannasditiont schl. it's a treatment for a rare form of epilepsy. she can attend public school and bring her medicine with her. it overrules the stance that

allowing her on campus violated federal laws that allowed her on the ground. the medicine is effective and a nurse administers it to her by mouth. >> within three to four minutes, it stops. before, we could have called 911 for a prolonged seizure, 15 minutes, an hour longer. this way, they can go on with their school day. >> the school district said they are pleased with the decision that provides them guidance on the issue of cannabis based medication on campus. a warning for parents, the amount of kids and teens vaping in marin county doubled in two years. they are addressing a state survey that tracked vaping among seventh, ninth graders. the largest increase was 11th graders from 10% to 25%. these numbers reflect a national trend. the board of supervisors is considering following other

counties and banning the sales of vaping products. an organization known for rescuing and caring for abused animals, especially chickens is known for the conditions. abc 7 news anchor reports from vacaville. >> this is one of the coops. we have two other barns to take the chickens. >> reporter: the animal place's jessica miller took us on a tour of what used to be their rescue ranch in rual vacaville. >> i have only seen this place full of life. it's sad. >> reporter: in the past, thousands of chickens rescued from inhumane conditions across the state would be brought here. >> you open the crates and they come flooding out and start dust basting and spreading their wings and just being chickens.

>> reporter: unfortunately, there's excessive caring for uwards of 2,000 chickens at a time, ran into zoning regulations that forbid more than 100 animals at one time. they put it up for sale and moved the animals to a larger, 600 acre site in grass valley. they still want a second facility to carry out their primary mission. >> socialize them. rehabilitate them and adopt them to loving homes. >> reporter: they are looking for a new location. one is close to petaluma to allow them to care for more animals and have visitors. >> we are trying to raise money. we are a nonprofit. we depend on the ps support. we need the support of our community more than ever. >> they are looking to raise $1.5 million for the property. most will come from the sale of the old site.

they need at least $150,000 in donations to make up the difference. >> i know we will get back up and running again. in the east bay, protests outside wells fargo and jpmorgan chase banks. abc 7 news was in oakland at wells fargo on lakeshore avenue. protesters raised several issues saying the for profit prison. they operate some detention centers. customers can take action for their money. >> people that bank with us aren't doing anything wrong. move your money into a credit uniyor or bank they will use your money for things you don't support. >> wells fargo say, in part, we do not, as a corporation take position on public policy that do not directly affect our company's ability to serve customers and support team

members. >> sunday morning, waking up to basically clear conditions around san francisco. we are going to see plenty of sunshine, the weather changing rapidly. here is live doppler 7. you can see fog along the coast. quarter mile visibility around half-moon bay. the sun comes up at 6:58, setting at 7:04. welcome to fog. as we look at the pacific northwest, there's a system that is allowing for the temperatures to remain pretty much where they were yesterday, on the cooler side of average. how about that 45 in santa rosa? 48 in navato. 52 in freemont. check it out. you have a view here from the tower camera. that means, obviously, not obstructed from the fog. we have a good vantage point. the winds are going to kick up.

the cameras should be shaking by sunset. a fire watch goes into effect tonight through tuesday. that means an offshore flow develops and going to allow for much warmer temperatures. slightly warmer tomorrow and by tuesday, wednesday and thursday, we could be flirting with triple digits inland. the fire watch for the upper elevations, above 1,000 feet. you can see the areas highlighted here, 15-20 miles per hour. the downsloping winds that allow for warmer conditions and the sea breeze cut off unless you are right at the coast. because of this, low relative humidity and the fires could spread rapidly, if we see any. be awfully individuvigilant. we are going start this animation. by noon, the colors offshore. breezy winds, around the bay, the winds are beginning to kick up. if you look at the direction the arrow is pushing toward the coast. that means the offshore flow,
