christine blasey ford has been in question and now a second woman is coming forward saying she too wants the fbi to investigate. just after the senate announced the details of christine blasey ford's testimony, a second person announced she had a me too moment with the nominee for supreme court. this woman, deborah ramirez, a former yale university classmate of kavanaugh's says he exposed himself to her at a party 35 years ago, according to "the new yorker." ramirez says her incident happened at a drunken dormitory party. she says she was forced to push >> his body part away from her. when someone steps forward and accuses another person of this kind of sexual assault, it needs to be taken seriously. >> reporter: earlier democrats had been urging chuck grassley to slow down kavanaugh's nomination. together with blasey ford, they asked for additional witnesses at thursday's hearing and an independent investigation. grassley's accused the democrats of playing games, overnight releasing this statement. they are more interested in a political takedown than pursuing

allegations through a bipartisan and professional investigative process. through it all, president trump has maintained that the investigation should stay with the senate. here he is with abc affiliate wtam. >> i want her to have her voice. let her have her voice. let her say what she has to say, let him say what he has to say, and at the end the senators will make a choice. >> reporter: the white house says it stands firmly behind judge kavanaugh who categorically denies both allegations calling it a smear, plain and simple. and kendis and stephanie, this might not be the last of it. senator grassley's office requested evidence from lawyer michael avenatti who claims to represent what would be a third person with allegations against brett kavanaugh, and senator dianne feinstein is calling for his nomination hearing to be immediately postponed. >> she is once again calling for an fbi investigation. lana zak in washington, thank you. as president trump prepares to address the u.n. general

assembly this week, it looks like he is holding off on firing deputy general rod rosenstein, at least for now. he was furious after rosenstein suggested wearing a wire to record trump and even raised the idea of trying to remove trump from office, but sources say the president decided to leave rosenstein in the job after asking aides for advice. we turn now to the political ad with a major twist. it starts like a typical attack ad, criticizing a congressman from arizona's fourth district, but it ends with that big surprise when you find out who is delivering the message. the ad targeting arizona republican paul gosar follows a familiar formula. >> if they care about health care, they care about their children's health care, they would hold him to account. >> reporter: the ad shows voters who want an incumbent voted out. >> paul is not working for his district. >> reporter: but by the end, the stunning reveal. >> my name is tim gosar. >> paul gosar is my brother. >> my brother.

to work. >> so paul gosar's mother tells "the new york times" she fort supports him, and three of his nine siblings did not take part in that commercial. bill cosby learns his fate as a two-day sentencing begins today. the 80-year-old was found guilty of drugging and molesting andrea constand in his home in 2004. state guidelines in pennsylvania call for someone with no prior convictions to receive one to four years in prison, but cosby could face anything from probation to 30 years behind bars. >> it's not unthinkable that the judge could sentence him to jail time in order that he be turned over immediately to correctional officers at that hearing. >> i think it's important that he spends some time behind bars. he has committed the act and been convicted of it. he should do time just like everyone else. >> cosby's defense team and prosecutors are also expected to face off today over whether

cosby should be declared a sexual violent predator. that defamation could be used against cosby in looming defamation lawsuits. firefighters say cooler temperatures overnight should help them make progress, fighting the fast-growing brush fire north of los angeles. it burned more than five square miles forcing evacuations of dozens of homes. windy, dry conditions have triggered fire warnings across much of the west today. another 8,000 homes in south carolina have been told to evacuate because of rising water. all of this after hurricane florence. some rivers have still not crested. more than 20,000 people could be displaced. in the meantime, in parts of north carolina now drying out after the storm. some roads are covered in dead fish after the floodwaters receded. time now for a look at your weather for this monday morning. >> reporter: good morning. well, we're still having problems with dry conditions in the west, elevated fire danger for utah, nevada going into

we're back with the spectacular nighttime eruption of this volcano in indonesia. located between java and sumatra islands, the local media report the chunks of lava thrown into the air were as big as trucks. the volcano has been active since june, but has not caused any disruptions to air travel. >> that's beautiful. >> yeah, it is. the child actor claiming asia argento him is speaking out. jimmy bennett appeared on a talk show in italy. >> it's hard for me to talk about this. it all happened very fast. >> bennett claims argento offered him champagne and then assaulted him. she was 37 at the time. argento denies the accusation. she and her late boyfriend, anthony bourdain, reportedly agreed to pay bennett nearly $400,000 for his silence. her attorney warned bennett before his tv appearance last night that he would be sued for

any slanderous statements. two daredevils in los angeles had to be air lifted to the hospital after taking their apparent quest for instagram likes too far. authorities say the number of hikers needing rescue has been surging in recent months as more people try to capture extreme videos to rack up likes on social media. in the most recent case, one man dislocated his shoulder during a water fall jump and his friend broke both his legs. congress might join in the fight over leg room on planes. a new proposal reveals that congress is considering an order that would require the faa to set minimums for leg room and seat width. one senator says lawmakers from both the house and senate agree it's time to address the issue of shrinking airline seats and as part of its funding bill, it may require the faa to look into the number of bathrooms on planes. >> that's one congressional action i support. the drive through lane at a chick-fil-a restaurant in

the house, we're expecting that somebody else is taking care of them and ensuring their safety, and when i found out that this bus driver literally let an 11-year-old drive a bus, a million different things went through my head. >> reporter: authorities say a parent contacted the school resource officer triggering an investigation. mcatee was arrested when she showed up to pick up her check. police charging her with a felony, neglect of a dependent. the school says in a statement, the porter township school corporation is angered and disappointed in the actions of this driver. the safety of our students is a top priority. the bus company for a student adding, behavior such as this is completely unacceptable and totally at odds with what we stand for as a company. the driver has been terminated. the driver is facing a child neglect charge which is a felony in indiana. well customs officials in south texas found a whole bunch of trouble after investigating a shipment of bananas donated to a prison.

the guard said one box didn't quite feel correct. inside under a layer of fruit they found packets of cocaine and they eventually found nearly $18 million worth of the drug in small boxes. authorities haven't said yet where the shipment came from. >> i don't think these are bananas. >> nope. you don't have to be a golf fan to enjoy a good comeback. this morning, "golf magazine" is calling it the tiger effect. it was on display the fairway on sunday, with thousands of cheering fans behind him, tiger won his first pga tournament in. more than five years. it's the 80th win of his career though, and it comes despite his recent injuries and dui arrest last summer. >> eight is a big number and i, you know, sitting on 79 for about five years now, and to get 80 is -- it's a pretty damn good feeling. >> reporter: and this one was a bit more special.

it was the first time his children have seen him win a tournament and tiger said he couldn't have done it without the help of everyone around him. all right. now to a big upset in detroit on sunday night football no less. the lions put down the patriots who were the heavy favorites. tom brady and the pats losing their second consecutive game, this one 26-10, not even close. it's the first time new england has lost back to back games by double digits in nearly 16 years. first time the lions have won on primetime sunday night football. buffalo fans may be waking up this morning thinking sunday's win over the vikings was just a dream. the bills were 17-point underdogs but won the game, 27-6. it's the biggest upset in the nfl in 23 years. >> that's amazing. congrats to the bills. all right. coming up, the tip of the hat concerning abe lincoln's adwear. is it the real thing? >> is it? and the unlikely person who helped save one couple's wedding from falling apart.

hi, everybody. when you step outside this afternoon, 43. san ramon and oak were land, 49. the rest of us in the 50s until clear lake at 63 degrees. this afternoon we have mid to upper 60s along the coast. mid to upper 70s along the bay, including san francisco. 80s in the south bay. a few 90s in the north bay and east bay. this is the beginning of a warming trend. plus, a high fire danger developing. frances with traffic.

the end were on fire. then i saw the flames all come over to the left-hand side. ist was a wall of flames. >> i was literally just scared it would get to your house. >> it came within a couple, probably 30 fetal from the houses. we have a station close by, and they were able to act quickly >> reporter: people from a dozen homes evacuated. fortunately no injuries or damage. the hillside is east bay regional parks and private land. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> i didn't actually even know if we would be able to move back into our homes tonight. so we were very relieved. >> this grass fire snarled traffic near willow pass road. at one point the closed to accommodate fire equipment. back at home residents are feeling lucky and planned to better prepare. >> i left my house without anything.

meanwhile, overnight, the charlie fire is burping near castaic. it has scorched 3,300 acres. it is 20% contained. it tore through in just hours. about 20 homes are evacuated. this is burning north of santa clarita in the area of six flags, magic mountain. it's 4:30. a quick update. red flag warning extended until 5:00 tomorrow afternoon thanks to northerly wind 10 to 20 miles per hour. look at the gusts to 25. not impressive wind wise. the humidity so low. 5% to 15
