>> a judge is handing down the sentence in the bill cosby sexual assault trial right now. details are coming in as we speak. the judge is just about the hand down the official terms but he just said that sentencing cosby to total confinement in county jail or state prison, the exact length is not exactly clear just

yet but prosecutors were asking for ten years. a jury convicted him of drugging and molest eg molesting a woman. it is one of the first celebrity trials of the me too era. hasn't made a public statement. we will update you as soon as we have more information. what we do know is cosby will be serving time in a prison or a jail. so he won't have that home confinement he was hoping for. he will likely spend time in prison or jail as soon as we know how long we'll pass it along during the newscast. >> the search for an abducted six-year-old is over. police have found the boy safe and sound after a state wide amber alert was issued. we are live where they found him. >> hi. they found him here at this

hotel. witnesses say the arrest was traumatic to watch. it seemed traumatic for the six-year-old boy. police say no one was hurt. witnesses say they saw police tackle silently. they came up and grabbed him and handcuffed him and hauled him away. this is laquinta in dublin. they have the six-year-old. they are feeding him and working to reunite him. they arrested the boy's 17-year-old's half brother. it was in a home invasion style robbery including the use of pepper spray. today the tackle and arrest of his father witnesses say here at this hotel it was so traumatic. they could their boy screaming for his father as police took him away. >> i didn't know what was going on until i really paid attention. i was like wow, this is

happening right here in front of me. i kind of stopped an relocated. >> probably a pretty scary event. you imagine doors being kicked in and taking a child by force will be traumatic by anyone. at six years old probably didn't need to see this today. >> police say they arrested john and charged him with kidnapping, child endangerment and his bail set at $300,000. they say charges against his 17-year-old son are pending. police say the parent of that six-year-old are going through a divorce. they don't know why he chose this day. it was yesterday morning about 7:30, and this style in getting the child away from his mother and taking him here to the bay area. police also think a total of six people were involved in abducting that child. they believe they have two of those people in custody.

a flight was cancelled. they say the fuel leak filled the cabin with a pungent odor and left them stranded for hours. we are at sfo with an update. >> no more than ten years behind bars. this was video earlier of him arriving to court today. he had a smile on his face until he learned the news that we have just learned moments ago. the judge classified him earlier today as a sexually violent predator. he was accused of andrea constand. moments ago the same judge in the case ruling bill cosby needs to serve time in prison. lindsay has been covering this from the get go. she was inside kourcourt. as the judge handed down that sentence. walk us through this. >> reporter: you know, bill cosby remained emotionless.

he had his head forward. he sat looking straight ahead. in the back row it was filled with maybe about eight other cosby accusers. they already handed out ti they were crying quietly, all holding hands, nodding their heads again and again. it was quiet. you could hear a pin drop. the judge said he will have pay for prosecution koss fcosts court, a $25,000 fine. he gave strong quotes directly aimed at bill cosby. he said the jury's verdict must be heard loud and clear. you are convicted of a serious crime. again and again he said no one is above the

someone that has been classified as a sexually violent predator.. it was a range of 3 to 10 that is completely within the guidelines. i think it was very clear once he was classified as a sexually violent predator. how do you protect the community from someone that can't control themselves? it is clearly very serious and

the aggravating factors he falls squarely within this sentence. >> i want to go back for this. bill cosby is not done fighting. he does plan to appeal. it starts right now? >> yes. exactly. according to pennsylvania law you can't start that appeal process until after the sentencing. and so there's already a lawyer in court for him to begin that process the judge reminded him and asked are you sure you don't want to say anything? he had the opportunity to have the final word prior to the judge's sentencing. he chose to stay quiet. it is a clear victory. they asked for 5 to 10 years. they getting at least 3 to 10. >> thank you so much for your reporting on this. if you're just joining us bill cosby once one of the most powerful entertainers has been sentenced three to ten years

let's take a look. this is butted up against the east bay hills. it did slowly fade. because it's been so slow and fading temperatures are running cooler. so it puts us in the mid-to upper 50s along san francisco. a few 70s in the east bay and 80s up north. this is the way it looks. most of the fog over the water right now. it will turn to haze over the next hour or so. clouds will stay at the coast. it will have a huge summer spread from the 60s to the 90s. the fire danger lwill taper aftr 5:00. chance of rain are possible in the back half of the

forecast. it is 88 in san jose. jose. only five games left in the season. it is 60 at 7:15. san jose sharks night. it is in the giants colors. pretty cool. you can see the sunshine down there. temperatures at noon will be in the 80s inland. it is 50s to 60s around the bay. 76 around the bay to 90 inland by 4:00. a pretty comfortable evening on the way and clouds will start to come back as we head through the evening hours. today is a spare the air day and possibly tomorrow too. here is a look at temperatures. upper 40s to upper 50s. another night with a lotover cloud cover out there. here is one of our models. this is the drier one. you can see by saturday morning it starts to show rain possible all the way down the coast.

it has a kind of quiet for sunday. monday it has another area of low pressure. this model is keeping it pretty far offshore. there will be the possibility of drizzle monday morning during the early hours. from the south could be showers and thunderstorms and tries to throw a wintery mix in there. it is something we'll keep an eye on. it shows a good shower event for saturday and good soaking for monday. it would be highly unusual. it is a former typhoon. that gives us a good rain this time of the year. warmer tomorrow but notice it never quite reaches the beaches. they stay in the mid-to upper 50s. the 80s are out of the forecast. it will feel like fall. 60s and 70s saturday and sunday and most of monday. >> seems like a little bit of everything and any kinded of weather you like. >> a little roller coaster. >> okay.

thank you. i want to get back to that story we were talking about before the special report. an international flight from to mexico was cancelled because a plane leaked gallons of fuel onto the tarmac. we have an update on what happened to those folks, amanda. >> reporter: most passengers got to the airport around 10:00 last flight to make that 12:40 a.m. flight to mexico city. it never happened. once everyone got on board the plane you see in the distance things started to spiral. travel plans are up in the air for this group of passengers back at the ticket counters try to go get to mexico city. they say 10 gallons of fuel spilled before takeoff. >> i had a window seat. i could see all of this coming out of the right wing. they are like no. it's an electrical issue. >> they say crews cut power to
