we expect delays a little further into the commute to spill onto the bay bridge too. bus service diverted to the old temporary terminal at main and full some streets. that's where amanda del castillo is this morning. hi, amanda >> reporter: the transit is likely not to be the case in a few minutes when the morning commute begins to pick up here. but abc news was there, abc 7 news was here during yesterday's afternoon commute when the sudden closure of the salesforce transit center. the joint powers authority after crews found a crack in a load-bearing beam. they were directing people towards the old temporary tran silt terminal which served commuters for years. many found themselves back a lot their old departure spots.

indefinitely. officials say the beams were inspected before and after installation. this photo taken by a san francisco chronicle photographer shows an independentor inspecting the crack in question. it was discovered yesterday morning while workers were installing ceiling panels. >> phase one of the transit center started in 2010. in november of 201, steel assembly started. all the steel came from manufacturers in the u.s. that does include the cracked beam. this is according to the trans bay joint powers authority. a month ago, the transit center opened. and of course the emergency closure happened yesterday. as we have been telling you. ineight years and $2.2 , tal billion in the making. and another wrinkle is the legal dispute between the owners of the millennium tower and the joint bay transit authority. >> they blamed the construction of the nearby salesforce transit center.

location got hit again. take a look here. we have the locations for you on the map on the left there for you. all the locations that have been impacted in the last few months. some of them have even been robbed twice. on the right is surveillance video of the incidents. police say he yesterday's crime involved six to eight people. it happened around 12:30 in the afternoon. there have been no arrests in connection to the crimes. a police chase in hercules ended in a fiery crash. police say this man, paris simmons, is in jail. an officer was investigating car bush lacer near san pablo and sycamore yesterday when he noticed a white jeep with paper license plates. he was in the driver's seat. he led the officers on a crash until it led to highway 4. the jeep burst into flames and started a brushfire. incident was reported stolen out of antioch. there is a push in sonoma county to improve emergency procedures. county leaders want to install

look at this in the north bay. heavy fog forced a hot air balloon to make a dramatic landing at sequoia elementary school in santa rosa. mark freeland took the photos, a resident. there were eight people on board. he rushed to the school to see what was happening. >> he was able to lower it down onto the field.
