juvenile yearbook and calendar codes. he is angry that his long-planned a separation to the highest court in the land has hit a major snag. he is angry that his wife and daughters now know what a jerk he was to girls in high school and college. and this morning analysts say it might be difficult to defeat kavanaugh's confirmation, especially if he's from the majority party. >> you have to sway people who would otherwise philosophically want to vote for him that this is disqualifying. and i don't think that yesterday carried that off. >> sexual assault should never be be a partisan issue. that is an issue of right and wrong. and i think what is terrible here is people are saying her testimony, while credible, is it crab rated? the reason it is not is the record is incomplete here. >> and some analysts are saying the lifetime commitment kavanaugh would receive if confirmed can wait if the fbi decides to investigate the allegations against him. students at uc berkeley rallied in support of dr. blasey

coverage, including key moments from the hearings that you may have missed yesterday. now another big story. elon musk is in trouble with the federal government and could be moved as the head of tesla. >> and it's all because of a tweet. abc 7 news reporteder matt keller is live in burlingame. >> reporter: good morning, jess kafplt for elon music and for many people, he is tesla. but the sec is going after him. they want him out. tesla's stock is taking a beating. elon musk is a huge store on social media. on twitter, he has 22 million followers. he tweeted out last month he secured fund to go take his company private at $420 a share. sec said that was false and is asking a federal court to prohibit him from serving as officer or director of a public company and asking for an order to keep him from making false or misleading statements, along with repayment of any gains, as well as civil penalties.

this map shows you where all the bay area thefts happened. eight people have been arrested and booked into the alameda and sonoma county jails. warrants out for nine others. the robberies resulted in the loss of more than $1 million. law enforcement agencies from 19 counties were involved, including seven from the bay area. a pair of small brush fires broke out in the north bay after a helicopter apparently clipped power lines. it happened yesterday off palisades road. the fires were quickly contained. the helicopter was under contract of pg&e to patrol lines. it apparently got so close that it clipped them, sparking flames. >> there are a lot of cases where helicopters need to fly low to get near our facilities and equipment to inspect the lines. >> the helicopter managed to land safely in a nearby field. none of the three people got hurt. happening today, google ceo is scheduled to meet privately with members of congress.

the meeting comes after he and his boss larry page stood up lawmakers at a public hearing earlier this month. the closed door gathering is expected to include discussions about president trump's recent allegations. and he claims google has been rigging search results to suppress conservative viewpoints. google has denied any political bias. a robot delivery service has a lot of cleaning up to do after a fire broke out at a san jose office. it looks like lithium batteries sparked the fire of starship technologies on meridian avenue. most of the damage is from the water from the sprinkler system. this is what the robots looked like in redwood cities the social media giant facebook used phone numbers that users provided for security purposes to target them with ads. the phone number is part of the two factor authentication known as 2fa.

testimony on capitol hill, senators are expected to move forward on the supreme court nomination of brett kavanaugh. lana zak has the latest from capitol hill. >> reporter: good morning. president trump has not spoken with judge kavanaugh since that hearing. but we have heard from press secretary sarah sanders who is optimistic about today's vote. she is encouraging and the president is encouraging this full senate to move forward. that could happen in just a couple of days. >> reporter: senators on capitol hill spent the night trying to reconcile two emotionally charged and diametrically opposed testimony. the reluctant accuser. >> i am here today not because i want to be. >> and judge kavanaugh fighting for his representation.

kavanaugh's anger, that's how someone who had been falsely accused would react. it's also how someone caught in a lie would react. >> and that is mark osler, a law professor from st. paul, minnesota, and kavanaugh's former classmate at yale. he said he is glad the american bar association is calling for an investigation. >> on the peninsula, some of ford's neighbors rallied outside to support her outside of city hall. nearly 150 people were at that rally organized by a group of palo alto moms. they wanted to ensure that blasey ford wasn't alone as she told her story. >> we all look out for each other's kids. we bike to school together and go to dog parks together. this rally is just an extension of that. it is just an extension of our community showing support. >> when you're supporting christine, what you're really supporting is women and women's rights. >> people also wrote messages
