into tomorrow. there will be wet spots for the morning commute, especially in the north bay. so here's the latest feature. you can see the whole bulk of rainfall aimed at the north bay. the bay area's first rain of the season, welcomed by many. took others by surprise. >> cornell bernard is live with this story. cornell? >> reporter: it's been raining off and on here tonight. we saw a steady downpour earlier this evening, but not everybody was prepared to welcome back the rain. october started o san rafel. rain fell on 4th street. >> i wasn't really expecting it, but i don't mind the rain. >> reporter: staff here moved quickly to cover their pumpkins from the downpour. >> they're looking for coverage right now, especially the first rain of the season. >> reporter: rain tarps are the

this letter for months. and she didn't reveal it until everything was finished. then she says oh, we want more time. >> reporter: president trump says he wants the fbi to investigate anyone within reason. democrats are offering up a list of 24 individuals that they say are crucial to the investigation. and around the country, protesters are rallying around the accusers. they are urging the fbi to follow every lead. republican senator jeff flake says he's pushing for a thorough investigation. >> i for one am waiting for additional information that will come from the supplemental fbi investigation to inform my decision on judge kavanaugh's nomination. >> reporter: flake's support will be crucial to kavanaugh who denies all accusations. >> it comes to jeff flake, murkowski and susan collins. the question is whether they conclude that he should not be supported. >> reporter: the fbi has been given one week to complete its

background investigation. lawyers for deborah ramirez say investigators have spoken with her, but so far she's the only one of the three named accusers to be interviewed. president trump said he would not be bothered if the fbi interviewed all three of the accusers and the nominee himself, leaving the door open if the fbi finds something. >> the person that takes that position is going to be there for a long time. i have a very open mind. in the east bay, a man is under arrest suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend. a body was found near a dam this morning. sky map 7 shows us the location near san leandro. the suspect has been identifies as 19-year-old anthony pimmentell. the family of 18-year-old mariah davis says she is the victim and was last seen with him at a restaurant last week. they tell "abc7 news" that they confronted him looking for

answers. >> we met fijitty. he said he had not seen her. >> investigators have not officially identified the body but are expected to make an announcement tomorrow. it's bun of b.a.r.t.'s major issues, fare evaders. we captured this video of rider after rider pushing or jumping the fare gates. some fare cheats can't be cited we learned. lillian? >> reporter: ama, this is the result of a decades old decision that excepts san mateo county from many of the rules applied everywhere else. it happens all the time throughout the b.a.r.t. system. jumping and bypassing the fare gates. paying customers take notice. >> it's upsetting. you don't want to necessarily call someone out on it, but you

would hope that there would be better systems in place for catching that. >> reporter: b.a.r.t. launched an enforcement operation in march to crack down. riders are asked for proof of payment. but san mateo county is except from the program. when b.a.r.t. was formed in the '60s, san mateo county opted out. which means the same rules that apply to other areas don't apply on the peninsula. >> we have the system that's existed for a really long time, but we haven't been able to adjust to modern times with respect to our transit systems. this is an example of it. >> reporter: a few b.a.r.t. members voiced concerns for exemption. peninsula residents we talked with say inspectors should be able to look fe cheats everywhere. >> i think it's needed everywhere. i see it enough, you know, on a daily basis. >> i think everyone is using the same system. they're all benefiting from the

it appears that there is some wet pavement here, so there is probably some light rain at t golden . fairfield, 66. concord 70. and vacaville, 71. here's the view from emeryville, here are the forecast features. we see it already. the first fall storm has arrived and will continue into tomorrow morning. a wet morning commute for some, especially in the north bay. we'll see a warmer, drier weather pattern. upper 50s to low 60s. and the storm that is moving in right now ranks one on the storm impact scale, a storm of light intensity. again, mainly in the north bay, but we may see a stray shower or two moving to the bay area. highest rainfall total also be in the north bay. our projection for rainfall totals indicates most locations

around the bay area will see no measurable rain at all. santa rosa will see over an inch at ukiah. and clearlake about a quarter inch. tomorrow, mostly cloudy skies, and the mid 60s at the coast to 70s around the bay. and inland, mid to upper 70s. maybe one or two location also top out at 80 degrees. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast. it's possible that a couple of light showers may linger into wednesday morning, but most of the day wednesday will be dry, although clouds will hang around. relatively cool wednesday and thursday with highs in the mid 70s. we'll see a warmup under sunny skies. highs move to the mid 80s. mid to upper 70s around the bay and 60s on the coast. >> we desperately need the
