the motion is agreed to. >> two big stories we are following, brett kavanaugh is one step closer to a supreme court seat after the senate votes to end confirmation to a final vote as early as tomorrow. here one southbound lane of 680 remains closed. the clean up after a traffic dispute caused a truck to dump 27 tons of sand. let's begin with a traffic headache in east bay. big rig happened around 5:00

this morning. now six hours later two lanes have reopened. we are team coverage for let's go to amanda at the scene. >> reporter: yeah. some major progress in the last few minutes. crews opened the two left lanes here. this is after cleaning up that 27 tons of concrete that spilled over a big rig this morning. the driver who sideswiped the big rig caused a lot of trouble in traffic. >> bumper to bumper traffic at the beginning of the morning commute. chp officers say a white honda civic was involved in two separate hit-and-run scenes in pleasanton. it sped away traveling south. as the driver approached the

exit they sideswiped this big rig. >> there is about a mile and a half between this accident scene and stone ridge. the initial hit-and-run was not connected with this. >> gonzales was driving the double trailer. he try today adjust but ended up crashing into this black honda accord. >> i feel really bad. i don't want to hurt nobody. >> he was lucky to walk away without any injuries. his load spilled across the interstate and his tractor ended up over an embankment. >> you can see my truck. >> initial reports by the chp mentioned possibility of two sedans racing and crashing into the back of his >> not a lot of people drive
