live where you live, this is abc 7 news. >> a killer on the loose in the east bay. it happened while a family, including a child, left in the house. the search for that expected killer has been going on for hours. police say a man was shot and killed in that home earlier this morning. the suspect took off on bicycle. >> ridgy, the corner is here, and police detectives are in the home continuing their investigation. they say this does not appear to be a random shooting, but they don't have a lot of information

on the suspect. >> between 12 and 1230 there fsz some gunshots. >> it is something this area is not used to. police say a 56-year-old man was shot to death in this home where he was renting a room. the family with at least one child was in the home, they were asleep at the time of the shooting. >> he said that he saw a male leaving the general area of the front door of the residence and get on to a bicycle and pedal away. >> we have a tracking dog and drones with some technology to detect heat, but we were unsusf.
