we have a blanket of clouds and cool conditions. all of us will be covered by 7:00. mid to upper 50s. you can see mid to upper 60s in the bay and inland. increasing sunshine. we'll stay around 61 at the coast. the rest of us will reach for the 70s by 4:00. back in the 50s and 60s at 7:00. let's see what's going on with the morning commute. alexis is back. good morning. good morning, mike. not too much. so far so good. we have had very few issues. our biggest problem is a vehicle that ran out of gas on eastbound 580 at the hopyard off-ramp. it's not blocking anything, not causing any delays. that's pretty much it as far as incidents go. here's a live look outside across the golden tkpwaeupt bridge. nice and light, as it is typically. no issues there either.

a delay in either direction of 580. we'll take a closer look at that coming up next. thanks, alexis. a two-alarm fire in oakland. >> it broke out at a strip mall hours ago. ay llyfie live. >> reporter: it is out in contra costa county. new video coming of that fire that broke out on main street near 7th. incident w we're told crews are still working to knock down that fire right now. no one was hurt. i want to show you a picture of the building. we pulled this from google maps so you can see what is on fire. a tire shop. possibly an office also connected there to the shop. they're saying this is a two-alarm fire. we're wait to go hear back on a possible cause. right now they are busy just trying to knock this one down. amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. sears reportedly getting ready

to file for bankruptcy. it could happen sometime this week. matt keller live in san jose. matt? good morning, reggie and jessica. you see sears all across the bay area. nowthere are only a handful left. the question now is how long will these remaining ones last? t"the wall street journal" is reporting a bankruptcy filing could happen this week. they added restructuring to its board. it has a big deadline for $134 million next week. analysts need to raise a billion dollars a year to stay afloat. sears has 900 stores. they also own kmart. sears continues to discuss other options and could have an in-court restructuring. investors are bracing for the worst. they closed at 59 cents yesterday. live in san jose, matt keller, abc 7 news. now a live desk update.

>> at our live desk, hurricane michael expected to make landfall this afternoon in the florida panhandle. afternoon for the east coast. sometimes this morning for us. it has strengthened to category 4 with maximum winds 140 miles per hour. this is what it looked like in venice, florida a short time ago. a life threat epping storm surge is forecasted. 375,000 residents are under voluntary vie okay kwraeugz orders. a tornado watch is in effect for florida and georgia. michael could possible be strongest to ever make landfall in the florida panhandle. we will have a live report from panama city. and hurricane michael captured from the international space station. it was 255 miles over the storm.

arrests. anyone with information is asked to call sfpd. state officials say pg&e are to blame for the yu about county fire. fire protection says strong winds caused two sagging linesul arc that sent molten materials onto dry vegetation blow. it killed four people, scorched 15 square miles, destroyed 264 structure structures. at least a dozen of wildfires in october of last year were called by pg&e power lines. in a statement, they said in light of this, we recognize we all need to know even more to help reduce the risk of wildfires and are committed to working together with our state and community partners to develop comprehensive safety solutions for the future >> monterey county health officials are asking people to stay out of the water at three public beaches because of water
