and others could be delayed and canceled if californians kill the gas tax hike. >> it not only impacts the highway projects, but local cities and counties are receiving half of that money. >> reporter: the district director says repealing the gas tax with a yes vote on prop 6 could also delay the installation of carpool lanes on highway 101 in san mateo county and possibly delay the b.a.r.t. extension to san jose and moving caltrans into the sales force transit center. the 12 cent gas tax was passed last year by legislator. they generate more than $5 billion annually to fix roads and improve transportation. brenda ross in oakland is done with bad roads. >> sometimes you need the extra money to get the potholes fixed and keep the highways safe, you know. i'm willing p few pennies extra. >> we need to get serious about

could dramatically change the city skyline for the better. the iconic design was unveiled. they hope to attract a big company as a tenant. we have the latest from the largest city. >> reporter: these days construction seems to be nonstop in downtown san jose. marlaina augustine and her family moved here from the midwest three years ago. >> every time we walk around downtown there's a new business or restaurant we haven't seen before, so it's really exciting to see a lot of new growth and things coming downtown and making it a really lively place.

>> reporter: but the biggest transformation has yet it would breathe new life into an area many say would be welcome. market street towers would rise 17 feet high on a 1 1/2-acre lot and would include retail on the ground floor. the tower could hold 1,300 workers. the location is prime. >> we need more jobs in san jose. we need more intense office developments like this that's going to be situated near transportation. this is the exact place that welcomes this type of density. >> reporter: from sky 7 you can see the project's location in relation to the transit visit near the western s.a.p. center. although concerns about traffic, housing, and cost of living are

on their minds. >> we want to have the workers at the core rather than commuting for hours and hours. >> reporter: an opening date hasn't been released but they say they'll move forward with the project, even if they haven't lined up a major tenant in the groundbreaking. neighbors busted two people they suspected of trying to install credit card skirms on gas pumps in sunnyvale. officers arrested them after they ran. matt keller shows us how they were caught. >> reporter: the world gas station was closed and had little light on when the department of public safety was called around midnight. >> when cars passed by, they would duck and hide. >> reporter: sunnyvale officers arrived and they ran off but were arrested.

fall retnstomorrow. it will become gusty in the hills. a look at the wind gusts hour by hour. midnight sunday we're going start to see the wind out of the north, eventually the northeast as we head into 11:00 a.m. sunday. that's what's going to warm us up, clear the fog out. that wind is also going dry out the air which is, of course, the biggest concern here around this time of year. we are in the peak of our fire season. so let's take a look at the relative humidity values. they're pretty high on sunday. watch the values drop down to 11% fairfield, 13% antioch. most notable in our inland areas. fairfield, napa, 70%. napa is one of the areas of biggest concern as the winds are expected to be the strongest there. definitely be aware of your surroundings. here's an hour-by-hour look tomorrow of what's going to half. watch the fog expand along the

coast for the afternoon hours. that's going to set the stage along with the sea breeze for cooler weather saturday. and sunday morning there will be fog sunday afternoon as the sloping wind develops. tomorrow morning it's going to be chilly. temperatures in the low to mid 40s. upper 40s in places like san rafael, live moore, half moon bay. most areas will be under 50. tomorrow afternoon, foggy along the coastline and that means those temperatures drop. you're in the upper 70s tomorrow. tomorrow, 68 in san francisco. midland areas, you're going to be down to the low to mid-80s. 80, san jose, 80 santa rohe accuweather app and track those any time you want. the accuweather forecast, it's a little cooler saturday, warming up on sunday, increasing our fire danger. a pretty warm pattern to start off monday and then slightly cooler tuesday, wednesday.

the 49ers are hearing it from some of the fanning over a snub of colin kaepernick. the team has put out a photo gallery of what it calls the 49 greatest packer moments. however, it didn't include kaepernick's historic play. he ran for a record 181 yards, ran for two touchdowns, and threw for two more. fans blasted his exclusion on social media. we reached out to the team today. they acknowledged the oversight and have now included photos of kaepernick. facebook revealed today that a hack last month affected millions of phone numbers and email addresses. facebook said 29 million accounts were involved in that security breach as opposed to 50 million as we first saw.

facebook plans to send messages to those who were hacked, telling them to what degree their information was exposed. the fbi is investigating that hack. and joining us now to talk more about this is a regular guest when we talk about facebook hacks from cnet. thanks for coming in. >> thanks for having me. >> the fbi has asked that you not discuss who is behind the attack. first of all, is that typical? and then i ask is it a state power or foreigner? >> you're not the only one. antennae went off. it's somewhat uncommon for us to hear that. what's interesting here is that the companies are actually telling these things way ahead of time, right? normally they would wait a little while, tell us -- get all of their information together, get all the information in one basket. >> yahoo! got burned when they waited. >> not only that.

facebook, cambridge analytica. they waited three years, tried to cover it up. the they're required to tell us within three days so facebook in this case is kind of following the rules, but it's a lot more transparent. we're kind of learning as it goes. now we can't learn more because of the fbi. what's going on. we may need to get used to this because we're probably going hear more often more quickly, which means we're going to have less information as it's happening. it's going trickle out. >> okay. what's valuable about the information they stole. phone numbers, email addresses. it's not like they have my credit card or social security number. who cares if they have my grandma's recipe. >> you might care. it might be a special recipe. it's tough to tell. one expert said it's not very uncommon to use it for financial

stuff. it's a lot easier to get it other places. that's what makes some people think it's state sponsored, but it's really hard to tell. what's interesting is facebook said they haven't found any of this information on the dark web where the hackers sell and share information, so that makes it more weird about what's going on with it. >> okay. so are we really at the point in terms of our online activity where we have to have almost fake profiles with like a face birthdate, a fake city, and all the stuff where you have like a separate online -- >> persona, right. >> like tinder. i'm not on tinder, but you know whey i'm saying. i'm just making a joke here, but where you have -- you don't want to put your real stuff out there. everyone's going to get hacked. >> i have a lot of friends on facebook who don't use their
