up. >> meteorologist sandhya patel is here with the forecast. >> the workweek was off to a warm to the, bstart, but it's c tomorrow. the sun went down at 6:32, and it was a stunning sunset. no fog or clouds to speak of, and absolutely glorious. as we take a look at live doppler 7 right now, there pretty much is a few clouds passing through our central valley locations. the rest of us are in the clear. 81 in oakland, san francisco, livermore 83. 76 degrees in half moon bay. check out the temperatures right now. they've dropped considerably from earlier in the day. mostly in the 40s and 50s. we do have a few low 60s around the region, including san francisco and pacifica. that's going to be changing tomorrow morning. as a matter of fact, you're going to notice that the temperatures will drop,

she experienced. she survived this but says it changed her life. this happened in june of 2011, and up until then her life had actually been pretty difficult. >> started doing drugs. i smoked crack for the first time when i was 14. 16 i was a full fledge addict. my accident happened. i'm given an opportunity to fight for my life and say yes i want to live. i was in the hospital for six months, on life support for seven days and lost my leg above the right knee. >> she survived. she gets to live. she has another chance at life, which she is not going to waste. since the accident, with the help of a prosthetic and as you see in this video she started wake boarding, then wake surfing and became a 2014 paralympic snowboarder. she's a fitness model and a

motivation speaker and does work as a realtor in canada. >> she lost her leg but gained her life. but she is the epitomy of that. >> her possibilities from here on out sendless and she's an inspiration. this 79-year-old chinese retiree out doing his morning walk. along comes this dog. but it is not a friendly dog. that dog charges the man. the man shooing the dog away. the man swings at the dog. the dog retaliates. >> does it belong to somebody? >> a stray dog that was a menace to this man. nobody appears to be around but finally a couple comes to his rescue. they walk up. the dog is not cared off. this man and couple grab

something and he's going after the dog. the dog not leaving yet. doesn't feel threatened. >> oh, my gosh. >> the dog is not leaving. still sitting there. finally the man drops this thing at the dog. eventually they are able to get the dog to go. that man was taken to a hospital. right here you can see where that dog bit that man. scatt security guards in that neighborhood saw that dog and had to take that dog down. this dog is a hero. a woman is running to her door. the man has a knife and coming at her. that dog is trying to protect her. biting. >> get after him. >> the dog gets in between them. eventually that man runs away. that dog wants to go after him. that man is known to that woman. he was convicted of a similar crime for which he spend six years in jail. now police say he's facing attempted murder charges.

>> good for her that her dog there was to protect her. who knows what would have happened. history has given us some greats. colin furr. he built his son a cool jet scooter powered by rc motor. colin was, let's say, green with envy. he's setting out to build himself a jet powered scooter and he starts off using an old turbo from a car. wait until you see him put together this all hand built designed on some scratch paper, the mathematics that it took to figure out all this stuff is really quite remarkable. the plans for what he's doing is right there on the wall. >> it's actually pretty simple. >> this isn't a simple build at all. you don't just buy jet scooter parts. you got to build everything. he takes an old bmx bike.

hacks that. takes this subbo, builds the chamber. builds the oil sump pump and everything. this is complicated stuff. it's exactly this big. he has to put pressure gauges in. valves. all of this stuff. and what did he find out when he has this whole thing put together? >> it goes really, really fast. >> nope. not enough. it's not going to work. in fact, those instructions on the wall -- he didn't read his own instructions. >> it's supposed to be 45 millimeters. basically he has to scrap that whole thing, start again, gets a bigger turbo. puts the whole thing back together. does this crazy machine work? >> oh, my gosh.
