6:00 tomorrow morning. the area shaded in red, north bay mountains and east bay hills where winds earlier today were gusting well over 40-mile-per-hour. winds right now still active. gusting close to 30-mile-per-hour. down in the east bay gusting over 20-mile-per-hour. the good news, tomorrow morning we do expect the winds to really back off. so by 9:00 on your sunday morning the winds are very weak, generally less than 10-mile-per-hour. once they weaken we will see cooler air in the second half of the weekend. we'll have that next. thanks. happening now as we mention santa rosa is one of the places under red flag warning. a building fire caused a neighborhood to panic as embers went into the brush. >> joining us live in santa rosa where she spoke to some nervous residents. anik only imagine what they are going through.

>> reporter: oh, yes. and a couple of businesses lost everything today. it happened in this area behind me that's closed off right now because it is private property. firefighters did have their prepositioning in place because of the red flag warning meaning a faster and greater response. and homes >> oh [ bleep ]. >> reporter: this isn't what you want to see in santa rosa on any day but especially when a red flag warning is in effect in the north bay. >> we presented the fire from getting into the homes and kept in the back yards and wild land. >> reporter: because of the red flag warning they already had prepositioning under way. but it couldn't help him. the timber worker moved from germany to santa rosa two decades ago and created these by hand through his business. now this is what's left. >> my life now here, gone. 20 years of gathering this. >> reporter: he was planning to

move from the building next month, shares a space with another business. across the lot are other shops. all suffering deep losses. the mackenzie family is thankful this time they are not. >> opened the backdoor and i couldn't see the black smoke and things flying through the air. >> reporter: the family is just beginning to recover from the north bay fires. they moved to this house six months ago. and when this fire hopped the train tracks and headed for their home. >> instant panic mode. like not again. >> i recommend that everybody has a plan. because it could happen any time. >> reporter: saturday santa rosa saw high temps, low humidity, but thankfully no wind. in the past pg&e has cut power. they said they do not plan to do that but is subject to change. reporting live abc7 news.

thank you so much. developing news here in the south bay, tonight law enforcement is searching for a mother and two children police believe she kidnapped. chp issued an amber alert for dia dia dia diana moreira. they say the mother is believed to be driving a 2012 min kei cooper. with 6 uwl 251. and possibly that car is headed to colorado springs. in the east bay a man is dead following an officer involved shooting in danville. that all started as a call to police about a suspicious person. abc7 news reporter is in danville with what we learned about the man who was shot and killed. >> reporter: two crashed vehicles, and a danville police car are the scene of a deadly

officer involved shooting. >> it's very unfortunate but a young man lost his life today. >> reporter: at the intersection of front street the officers tried to contact the man. >> unfortunately the driver drove his vehicle straight towards one of our officers. fearing for his life, our officer fired his weapon towards the vehicle. >> reporter: the man crashed into another vehicle after being struck by the gunfire. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. this is where it all started. the neighborhood behind me cottage place. residents didn't want to go on camera but they tell me around 10:00 the man entered the neighborhood and took off then about an hour later came back. he appeared disoriented was acting odd and had something under his arm. so they called 911. >> subject in the area of cottage neighborhood. >> reporter: police say the man drove away when they initially tried to contact him toward
