you notice something different. a good deal of fog up and down the coast. i ran into it on the way in. the visibility is still impacted at two miles all around the bay. can you see livermore less than a mile as well as concord. but looking at the air quality index, the reds with the highest with the par particulate matter is from the east bay from vallejo, concord, oakland. not much change. into the but in san jose we get a little bit better. and that should be the forecast for the next several days. so we're not getting out of the spare the air alert or a better air quality overall. but in general we are seeing slight improvements and staying in the index of poor air quality, today, tomorrow, monday and tuesday. if we look a step further, notice the bright colors, that's the poor air quality. but in the next 24 hours you can see the blue. that's looking like slightly better air then through sunday

california. here is the latest on the campfire. it has scorched 146,000 acres or 228 square miles since it broke out more than a week ago. 50% the butte county sheriff confirms 71 people have tide. there is some confusion this martini over theum nrbe people who remain missing. the butte county sheriff's office reports more than 1,000 people unaccounted for. that's up from just over 600 on thursday. the butte county sheriff cautions some people may be on the list twice. that could be because of spelling variations or they have not checked in with family. they have also added every single name described as missing in 911 calls since the fire started. we have the full list of missing people on our website. if you know where someone on the list is, you're urged to callsh detectives can remove them. you'll fine the numbers on the panl at abc 7 news.com. people in butte county are awaiting the president's

bay area. good morning to you and thanks for joining us i'm chris nice. . let's look at the forecast and air quality with meteorologist lisa argen tracking the conditions where you live. good morning to you. we are seeing some changes. some of you changing for the better, others not changing much at all. here a look at current air quality. you notice the red from vallejo, concord and oklahoma. we are getting a stronger on shore push, seeing san francisco, redwood city and san jose, santa rosa in the sensitive areas. so overall we are looking at conditions remaining pretty bad. but as we go through the weekend you'll notice that maybe looking at a little better blue sky out there for some. but we are taking it through tuesday where we have the air quality alert and spare the air alert for each and every day. but within the time period things will be changing as we're looking at a stronger push from the ocean and those winds kicking up. as we put it in motion this is the smoke forecast.
