mornings. right now at 6:00 president trump is traveling to california to visit first responders and survivors of the devastating camp fire. this is video of him leaving the capitol earlier today. he is expected to land at the air force base in yuba city before 10:00 this morning. it's saturday november 17th. good morning. i'm chris nguyen. the president's visit comes at smoke from the camp fire continuing to impact the bay area. let's check in with lisa argen for the latest on air quality. are we getting any relief. we are beginning to see changes already in the bay area. we have areas of dense fog along the coast, the north bay and san francisco. you can see it here and live doppler 7. but the visibility we are impacted not only from the fog ant haze but the smoke from concord and livermore more with some of the worst air quality with less than a mile visibility in the inland east bay. two to three miles in mountain vow and san jose. looking at the currently par

morning in yuba county. last week the president caused outrage on blaming fires on poor forest management. the preponderate has change his tune. last night he tweeted he is looking forward to joining governor brown and governor elect newsom during his visit. the tweet was in ponce to a joint statement from the governor brown and governor elect numbers both vocal critics of the president. but they welcome the visit appear say now is the time to pull together. here is the latest on the camp fire, scorching 146,000 acres or 228 square miles since is it breck out. it's 50% contained. the butte county sheriff confirms 71 people have died. there is some confusion this morning over the number of people who remain missing. the butte county sheriff's office reports more than 1,000 people are unaccounted for. that's up from just over 600 on thursday. the butte county sheriff cautions some people may be on
