you can see it's a little hazy. three storms expected to hit the bay area in the next five days. thanks for joining us. the first of the storms arrives tomorrow. with it renewed concerns for accidents, flooding and mud slides. mike is here with the latest time line for us. >> hi everybody. we'll start with this storm impact scale. it will be one of the lighter three that come through. light to moderate rain.

it is up for our greatest amounts. this is 9:00, the traditional commute. you can see light green to yellow and orange. by 10:00 it's down to the san mateo bridge. during the afternoon hours it's over all of our neighborhood hours. as we wind down it is transitioning over to scattered showers which will be the case for wednesday. my storm concerns for tomorrow are kind of -- well, the high for hydroplaning. more leaves. trees toppled low. the next storms are going to be a little buiit bigger and stronger. i'll have those coming up in the seven day forecast. >> thank you. a sheriffs deputy dead after crashing into a power pole. we have new information on the deadly crash, jessica.

>> yes. he was with theortwo decades. friends and colleagues called him tony. others have been sending out condolences as well as the novado police department. just to name a few agencies. i have seen a few across the state of california and beyond. here is where the crash happened. it happened about 10:00 last nght. investigators say he was responding to a dui chase when his car crashed into the pole. you can see car there. >> that's a hard thing to wrap around is this person that's out there putting the public at risk and, you know, now we have one of our deputies that's gone because of this person and that's -- it angers. >> it could have been avoided rgs right? >> absolutely.

it is caused by a drunk driver no matter which way you look at it. >> the suspect officers were chasing wasn't actually taken into custody. his colleagues tell us that he is survived by an adult son. his same colleague you just heard from there a few moments ago. the department is a family and they will work together through their grief. a tough weekend for them. abc 7 news. >> thank you. developing police near south 17th street yesterday morning. police say a woman suspected of driving the car left the scene. they later arrested her a few miles away on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. they have not figured out whether he was alone or walking with an adult. a major relief as the deadliest fire in california history is now 100% contained.

u.s. forest service officials say there are so many concerning with the campfire. >> there are branches that will come down. >> the rain could mean flash floods and debris flow. firefighters reached full containment yesterday morning 17 days after the fire started with 153,000 acres burned. crews expected to monitor and mop up hot spots for months. survivors of the campfire still need help. you can find a list of resources at

both cars hit the center divide. officials say about 10 minutes later another lost control and l dmeamcar. this is exclusive abc 7 news video showing the aftermath and curry there. there were no major injuries. everyone involved was wearing their seat belts. ajents fired tear gas yesterday to stop some of them. 39 people were arrested. we have the latest now. >> just on the other side of this fence is a tent city where many of those 5,000 of or so migrants are waiting, hoping to be able to apply for asylum in the u.s. that's the u.s./mexico border. the united states is on the other side of the fence you see there. there are so many of these migrants here that many of them

are having to sleep out on the streets here. it is a peaceful start to the day here. it is quite a contrast to the clashes we saw along the border near san diego yesterday. it started out as a peaceful rally. many of these families came out there for that rally. then some of the people in the crowd began pushing mexican police and some of those men in that crowd of migrants made a run for it. some of them trying to cross into the u.s. illegally. initially they were saying about 500 tried to cross illegally. now they are saying it was fewer than 100. they were all detained and they will all be deported immediately. as for the rest of the migrants here, the thousands of them and thousands who are still making their way here, they say they plan to stay here and wait for as long as it takes the opportunity to apply for asylum.

abc news, mexico. a legendary civil rights activist has joined the nationwide boycott against the giants. edwards announced support for the boycott. the principal owner donated money to mississippi republican senator hyde-smith. he says it was a joke. edwards tweeted i joined calling far total boycott of all games, community events until the owner explains financial support of public hangings and monkey comments. san francisco police want to find a group of skate borders who attacked a security guard. the attack left the guard with life threatening injuries. it happened at the former bank of america building around 3:00 yesterday afternoon. it's not clear what sparked the attack. there is private property sign

looked like this. it faded away to this. high clouds and sunshine. we'll talk about what to expect in the next seven days. high clouds an sunshine. it will be pretty comfortable this afternoon. a series of storms begin tomorrow and another chance as we head through the weekend. here is a look at temperatures. santa rosa, the rest of us in the low 50s. now, if you're following in another capacity you may see a few radar returns today. that rain is evaporating. no need to worry about the umbrella today. enjoy temperatures around 63 to 67 or 68 degrees. the exception is half-moon bay. look at that, 62 to 63. then only 60 to 62. not much difference in the temperatures from noon to 4:00.
