and get it. >> let's check in with meteorologist lisa argen. the front has moved through. the unstable sector of the air mass hrwill have downpours and gusty winds. many of these areas are burn-scarred areas that can't hold the rain. you can see heavy rain in sea branch, orinda, 680, san ramon. it is wet. look at this downpour in rio visto. moderate showers from pleasanton to 580. san francisco, not too bad. in the south bay, looking at more rain from campbell to saratoga and the winds up to 35 miles per hour. >> this is a moderate rockslide in montclair area.

pacifica. he joins us live with a look at conditions there. matt? >> reporter: hi, jessica. hi, reggie. i'm living dangerous here now on the promenade, beach boulevard. the waves are big. 10 to 12 feet. 10 to 12 feet. they closed the pier. this is right by the cafe they have at the pier. high surf will remain in effect, 4:00 a.m. the wind is also an issue. driving here, you really need both hands on the wheel. wind advisory until 4:00 this afternoon. localized flooding a big issue, especially on the on and off ramps. flooding at the 280 to 380 connector. be extra careful driving out there.

between storms. it is a 2 on our storm impact scale. this is coming behind it. cold, unstable air. healsburg. lake county, the colder air bringing some wet snow. it has changed to snow in the sierra nevada, berkeley, emeryville. heavy downpours near martinez. south bay, wet weather all around and the winds. anywhere from 25 to 35 miles per hour. so if that's not enough, you have the slick roadways, scattered downpours, breezy conditions. and it's only about 5:00. so as we continue to go through the next several hours, look at 7:00. we still have the downpours in the east bay, along the peninsula, pacifica. the windy conditions. it will take until after the lunch hour when things begin to settle down. we will even see sunshine here.

it will be a pretty interesting morning. the rainfall accumulation through 11:00 tonight. because out of the scattered nature, anywhere from a tenth to six-tenths, maybe even three-quarters of an inch. it was raining. now it is snowing. seven inches armed south lake through the night tonight. temperatures cooler. we are behind the front. numbers will be in the upper 50s. it will be a cool and blustery afternoon. and a soggy and windy morning. good morning, alexis good morning, lisa. that will translate to a tough morning commute, if you haven't already figured that out. i want to take you into the newark area. we have what sounds like a pretty serious collision, westbound 84 over newark boulevard. a vehicle spun out, lost control. it collided with another vehicle and had two people ejected from one of those vehicles. so it does sound like we have injuries s.chp is heading to the scene.

all right. we have a 2 on our storm impact scale this morning with heavy downpours, a chance of a thunderstorm. as you look at the state, wow. it is really firing up. the cold front moved on through. we are in the colder sector of the system now. we are seeing the heavier downpours along the coast and a few thunderstorms here. we could see hail. i wanted to give you an indication of the wind gusts and the higher elevations anywhere i from 20, 30, 40 miles per hour mount st. helena. 51 in mount diablo. it is windy, wet. 9:00, we are still getting breezy winds. your evening commute looking a lot better than your morning commute. lisa, thank you. a texas mom is accusing a popular airline of name shaming.

been raining all night long. we are seeing more downpours there. the wind advisory for the entire bay area, gusts up to 45 miles per hour. and a current check right now, 33-mile-per-hour wind gusts at san francisco. count on some delays there with winds over 22 miles per hour in hayward. so in the upper elevations, up to 40 miles per hour. for mount st. hell lena. here's a look at the next several hours. by 9:00, we are still looking at those colors, indicating the wind gusts from 20 to 30 miles per hour. it is a soggy and slippery morning commute with wind to boot. this is 10:00. we still have the yellows and the greens on the screen. so that represents the the rain. snow in the sierra. upper 50s. it's chilly out there. we still have looking at a bit of a break tomorrow. then more rain in the next seven days. so far so good.

the bay area news group reports that the city attorney has been asked to remove mark zuckerbe zuckerberg's name to san francisco "general hospital". he donated $75 million to the hospital in 2015. public institutions should not affiliate with facebook after the company's recent pr scandals. the market for christmas trees has really been limit indeed these past years. now you may have another choice. check this out. united kingdom-based company is selling six foot tall half trees. see this? this is designed to stop your pets or toddlers trying to destroy or eat ornaments or knocking the tree down. it is only available in evergreen or snowy white. it is sold in the uk and northern ireland.

the cold sector of the storm. we have a break, slight break in san francisco, east bay. los altos, morgan hill, gilroy. more wet weather. because it is unstable and we have the low moving in, we are looking at this at 7:00. you can see the line of heavy rain, the downpours, maybe imbedded hail. at about 11:00, they get a little bit more scattered. and much more widely scattered by the afternoon. the evening commute looks just fine. but in terms of amounts, we will definitely see some half inch definitely see some half inch amounts put down. another three to six inches out there don't. it has been raining early.
