in the peninsula, the man accused of being passed out while driving his tesla down highway 101 is expected in court for the first time today. chp arrested 45-year-old alexander samek on dui charges. significant damage. it has become a local attraction. beyond this, though, the department of transportation has been doing a great job getting things back up and running. in wasilla, alaska, will carr, abc news. as many as 20 tornados unleashed violent winds on central illinois this weekend. about 20 people got hurt. no reports of any deaths. peak winds up to 125 miles per hour damaged hundreds of homes and vehicles. many people ran for cover after getting tornado warnings. in the east bay, the contra costa board of supervisors will consider banning styrofoam food and drink at tomorrow's meeting. it may include non-food related poli stay reason products like ice checks and packing peanuts. the material is hard to recycle and adds to landfill waste. eight counties are considering such a band. it could cost $75,000 to develop
