summerville road. she was taken to the hospital where she died. officers say drugs and alcohol don't appear to be involved. the driver is cooperating with this investigation. happening today, a new move by some san francisco residents to fix the sinking millennium tower. >> amy hollyfield live at the building to explain what's happening and the staggering cost to make these repairs. >> reporter: this fix is a pricey one. according to "the san francisco chronicle," the homeowners association will be filing an application today for the fix with the city. the plan is to drill more than 50 new piles down into the bedrock. the hope is to relieve the stress on the soils underneath the building. the tower's homeowners association says they have confidence this plan will

eliminate any concerns this building isn't safe. the millennium tower opened in 2009 but it's now leaning, sinking. leaning 14 inches to the west. this plan is the solution to stabilize the 58-story building full of expensive condos. the plan says they expect it will take 18 months to finish. reporting live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. now to the south bay, the san jose city council set to vote on controversial sale of downtown properties to google. google wants to develop a massive campus that includes offices, shops, restaurants, all of this connected by parks and plaza. google's plan will revitalize downtown, create thousands of new jobs and bring in more taxes. is t tuttl out o

use of the of the lanes for muni buses, regulated taxes and paratransit for people with utilities. in the north bay, san rafael police are searching for a man seen running from the scene of a deadly shooting. officers found the victim inside a car at pickle weed park on canal street last night. witnesses told police they saw someone running from the vehicle. police ordered neighbors to remain indoors while they search for him. the shooting happened outside a community center. investigators are trying to see if it was related to an event happening inside the building. this is the homicide in san rafael since 2011. the state is once again stepping in to help some fire victims. this time it's with their insurance claims. the california insurance xligser

will take over a small insurance company to protect claims from property owners affected by the camp fire. merced property and casualty company was looking at nearly $64 million in liabilities from the fire but the company's assets were only about $23 million. now the claims will go to the state insurance guaranty association which pays claims when insurance companies go under. it's unclear how many claims have been filed with merced since the camp fire. all is quiet right now. cloudy and temperatures in the upper 40s in our east bay valleys. let's take a look at the rest of the neighborhoods. 49 in san jose. lass the storms will be coming at us from the south. so, you, specifically the santa

in the mid to upper 40s. san francisco at about 50. here's a look at our storm. impressive looking. it's going to head southeast pretty soon. the closer you are to the coast, the more likely you'll get rain. the entire morning commute there may be a sprinkle. heading towards noon, there may be a random shower. yellows and oranges start rotating inland as we head towards the evening commute. even the heaviest stuff remains offshore during the evening commute. overnight it will may more of a trajectory inland. tomorrow morning the commute will be tough once 4:00 to, waves ter 9:00, thers dissipate. that's why the system drops from 2 to 1. hydroplaning a big issue tonight and tomorrow during the commute. a little ponding on the roadways. it will get breezy. here's a look at my accuweather seven-day forecast. a nice dry stretch thursday, friday, saturday, just about all day sunday.
