the south bay with alook at all the drama. amanda. >> reporter: yeah. jessica, reggie, after 10 hours of debate, dozens of demonstrators and several arrests. san jose city council voted th n unanimously to sell its land use to google. abc 7 news was there as a loud and persistent group of demonstrators got everyone kicked out of chambers at 9:00 p.m. eight demonstrators chained themselves to their seats. this all ahead of the city's landmark vote. they approved $100 million of land surrounding deardon to google. >> google is just full of lies. everything is behind closed doors. they only tell us what they want to say. we don't know what they want to do. we don't know their true intentions. google -- i've worked for google. it is like a factory line. once you leave, someone else is already taking your place.

east bay is in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury. his mother's boyfriend is accused of abusing him. 23-year-old jonathan davis told investigators the boy hurry himself while falling downstairs last week. but doctors at kaiser hospital grew suspicious after examining the boy's injuries. investigators doubted him too. so they arrested him. >> these cases tend to pull at the heart strings of our detectives. especially in this case where we have a child that is clinging to life that can't answer any questions or describe what took place. >> police say the boy's mother has not been cooperating with investigators, although they do not consider her to be a suspect at this time. new details on the death of long-time kgo radio host ray taliaferro. a preliminary autopsy report found no signs of foul play.

well. back to you. emily, thank you. >> abc news has live coverage of the state funeral beginning at 7:00 this morning right after "abc 7 mornings". we will be streaming the service on our website, abc7news.com and on our news app and our facebook page. now we have some breaking news from napa. napa police investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting. this happened around 1:45 this morning at lincoln and soscol avenue. they were in a foot pursuit with a man accused of assaulting a woman. it led to some sort of altercation with a napa police officer. shots were fired. the man pronounced dead at the scene. police stay away from the area. they have roads closed as they investigate. now, to to more breaking w to hpene treas sort of shooting and a car that crashed

into a home into that area. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is gathering new information for us. amy. >> reporter: hi, reggie. we are watching from here at the crime tape as the coroner has just arrived. police are also still here. they have been here on the scene for seven hours still investigating. look at this video we have of a car that crashed outside a home. this is in fremont. there were officers in the coroner's office here earlier. they told me that weren't able to say whether the driver had been shot and that's why the car had crashed. they did tell me there had been a shooting. we did talk to a man who said his wife did hear the shooting late last night. >> i wasn't told anything that happened. my wife just heard three pops last night. about 11:00 i guess. then sirens. that was it. i didn't hear much of anything else. >> reporter: did you run out to look or how did you react? >> me, i was in bed.

she got scared and said don't look out the window, things like that. >> reporter: the call came in just before 11:30 last night. police responded to chaucer drive and torrington place in fremont. at this time they are still gathering evidence. fremont police have not come out to brief us. i asked if any arrests have been made. they said it is all still under investigation. amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. amy, thank you. the lawyers of two teens and two young men who alleged they were molested by a new-convicted pedophile working for the boys and girls clubs of sonoma valley have filed suit against the organization. 71-year-old paul kilgore was sentenced to 150 years to life in president for sexual abuse of underaged boys. he worked at the club for 10 years before resigning in the year 2013. the suit states staffers failed to protect the boys who were

ages 6 to 10 at the time.epeate flags about kilgore's conduct with them. on the peninsula, a cracked and leaning pg&e power pole is still standing in pacifica. neighbors are worried it's one storm away from coming down. pg&e marked the pole back in august for replacement. neighbors say crews examined it yesterday but said it won't get fixed until next year. the reason they are giving is there are other power poles in worse conditions than this one that need more immediate condition. we reached out to pg&e but have yet to hear back. new, a flight from oakland to paris had to be diverted. officials say a disorderly intoxicated passenger forced the plane to stop. the norwegian air shuttle flight took off from oakland just after 8:00 last night. it had to be diverted to the minneapolis/st. paul international airport in

of the bridge. it is supposedly just blocking the south shoulder. it is probably blocking more than that. pittsburg into bay point, 12 miles per hour, 15 miles per hour. that is heavy. a quick check of drive times too. westbound 80, highway 4 to the maze, 41 minutes. 14 across the bay bridge. 10 to, san francisco to sfo, in the green at 11 minutes. thanks, alexis. a surprise twist in the russia investigation. special counsel robert mueller said adviser michael flynn provided substantial assistance and therefore should not do jail time. he gave firsthand information about contact between president trump's transition team and trump's transition team and russian officials. but exactly how he helped, we're not so sure because it is redacted from a court filing. you can see the text has been blacked out.

happening now, washington is bidding its final farewell to george h.w. bush on this national day of mourning. this is a live picture from the national cathedral. all hreufpg american presidents, first ladies and world leaders are gathered for the 41st president's service. we will join them live with abc news special coverage in just a few minutes. 42,000 people have stood in line the past couple of days to pay respects to the president. we sa we saw yesterday george w. bush made it to the capitol with laura bush, former first lady, thanking people, members of the public. it was a surprise visit. that was a nice thing for the family to do. we're going to hear from george w. bush today. he will be delivering the eulogy. we will hear from other members of the bush family and we will see dignitaries, including the former prime minister of canada

speak during today's service. >> it has been a stunning show of support for his family. out there at the capitol rotu a rotunda. so many people stopping by to pay respects. as we have noted in the past, this is going to be a service today at the national cathedral. afterwards, bush's remains will return to houston to lie in repose. his burial will take place on thursday at his family plot on the presidential library grounds at texas a&m university. that's in college station, texas. and he really has led such a life of service. he was a representative for the state of texas, ambassador to the united nations, chairman of the republican national committee. he then was also director of the cia. in fact, we saw a lot of former cia directors show up to pay their respects at the capitol rotunda as well yesterday. >> it is interesting that he talked once about planning for his eventual funeral, he said do you think anyone will come?
