yeah, they caught up with him. 41-year-old brandon freyr is charged with wire fraud and faces 20 years in prison if he is convicted. he transferred million to offshore accounts. his companies collected $28 million for people trying to pay off their student loans, promising to lower their loan payments and eventually have their debts forgiven. ameritech rohnert park and two other businesses. prosecutors say they have been investigating him for 10 months. some of his customers said they thought these were government agencies or at least affiliated with the government. many found their loans were in worse situations after working with these companies. freyr is due back in court on monday. live at sfo, amy hollyfield, abc

7 news. amy, thank you. an alert neighbor is credited with helping catch a suspected package thief in milpitas. take a look at the suspect. this is romano per curio. a neighbor called police after spotting him trying to hide the package under his jacket. police caught up with him a short time later and say the package was from a nearby home. in the south bay, the california highway patrol is still looking for the person who threw rocks at cars. dashcam shows the terrifying moment on i-60 in san jose. look at this video. it shows rocks hitting an suv with a mother and a -- a woman and her mother inside. excuse me. the chp received three calls this week from people reporting similar incidents. officers have not made any arrests. there are holes in the chain link fence creating easy access to that side of the freeway.
