i'm chris nguyen. let's start with the forecast and lisa. >> it is a chilly one out there. live doppler 7 showing we have mostly clear conditions, that is the sweep on top of mounts saint helena. we hahave temperature in the 3 in the north bay, slightly warmer in some parts. numbers from the 40s around the bay this morning, coast side mid-40s by noontime, we're looking at mid-50s to upper 50s. you can see a few high clouds. and by about 4:00, mid and upper

50s should do it with temperatures on the cooler side of average. but by the evening, sun setting at 4:50, we'll be dropping through the 40s. we have a cold front to talk about late tomorrow. we'll tell you how it will impact your sunday and check out any other rain chances for the week ahead coming up next time we see you. and we're waiting to learn more about the condition of a cirque du soleil performer hurt during a show in san francisco. the performer fell off a bmx bike during a stunt yesterday in the final act of the 4:30 show. this is video of a previous performance provided by cirque. a witness said that the man fell on his neck or head and could not move. a cirque spokesperson said that he would be okay. the afternoon show had to end a few minutes early. the 8:00 show was canceled. and happening today, the bay area is getting ready for a sea of red. the 24 th annual santa con hits the streets despite the city

to do i natunate toys. and there is an official list of bars that are participating. this weekend trains have banned alcohol on board. abc 7 has obtained police body cam footage of a domestic dispute involving reuben foster. it happened a month before the team released him. matt keller explains what promtdpromt prompted the response. >> reporter: police were called to the apartment complex on october 12th. >> i'm hearing loud, you know, someone being banged to the wall or something. >> reporter: officers were met at the door by then 49ers linebacker reuben foster, his girlfriend at the time came to the door crying and police say she initially stated that she was not okay. police attempted to interview them separately.

and he was put in handcuffs. foster was detained in the back of a patrol car while ennis was interviewed. both said nothing physical happened. police took photos of both of them to show what they say was a lack of injuries. foster was released from custody and ennis given a domestic violence resource card. you feel safe if you came back in here? >> yeah. >> you don't think this is going to continue? >> no. >> reporter: and in an interview this week following foster's arrest in tampa, ennis said foster had gotten physical with her three times including during this october incident. the d.a.'s office is exploring legal options. 49ers say they didn't know about the october incident in-actual after the arrest in tampa. >> and informational type of report does not necessitate notification of anybody. >> reporter: foster is yet to cleared to play. the nfl has contacted the santa

clara police department for more information on the october incident. in santa clara, matt keller, abc 7 news. new this morning, teach eer at oakland high school are planning a work stoppage on monday to call attention to the xwar beg bargaining issues. organizers plan to march to city hall where they hope to meet with the mayor. the work stoppage is not being sanctioned by the union. oakland teachers have been without a contract for about two years. they want a raise in line with inflation. district officials have not commented. first fridays is back, the event was canceled last month following a shooting in october. sky 7 using our exclusive sky map 7 technology shows you where it happened right in the heart of oakland, it runs down telegraph avenue to west grand. and as katie utehs reports, small businesses are happy that the event has returned.

what it is like for your own town to burn. this whole community is gone. >> the butte county their arrive's office says six people remain you beunaccounted for. dogs are said to be man's best friend. a family returned home following the camp fire to find their dog madison waiting for them and watching the property. the owners could not find the dog as they evacuated last month. as you can see, the dog survived and waited weeks for them to return.

remarkable. in the wake of the camp fire, the city of san francisco is developing new plans on how to respond when bad air quality hits the bay area. monday broo mayor breed says now is the time to address climate change. >> we know climate change is real and we will need to get adjusted to the new normal and fires like the one in butte county and trying to make sure that we are prepared for anything that may come our way. >> the mayor says the new plan should reach vulnerable populations and it includes advice on the y you -- distribution and use of mass. and we are starting off with clear and cool conditions. we do have some fog. mid-30s for up in santa rosa, but upper 40s san francisco, 45 in hayward. san jose checking in at 44.

morning. and then sunshine, mid-40s each day with more clouds around for sunday. the storm impact scale for tomorrow night into monday, it is a 1. that will bring rain pushing from north to south. heaviest in the north bay. this will weaken and fall apart as it pushes to the south and it will be breezy at times. so our time line looks like this, we have increasing clouds for your sunday. here we are at 9:30 at night and then looking at the rain in sonoma overnight hours. heavy downpours perhaps, but as it pushes across to the south and east, 5:00 monday morning, it is wet in emeryville, oakland, but in livermore, scattered showers. and by 8:00, might just see a little around san jose. so as we look at the totals, greater amounts to the north anywhere from a half inch or so to 0 ppts 6 santa rosa. oakland and san francisco, perhaps a quarter of an inch.

♪ the cost for the concord police department to produce this lip sync video is raising some eyebrows. the east bay "times" reports that the department paid $34,000. police say the money came from as set forfeiture and it allows people to collect cash or property from people who they arrest. in most cases they have to wait until people are convicted to keep the assets. the department says it helps with crime prevention by building relationships with the community. and you can get into the holiday spirit today.

officer. a statewide campaign aimed at pre-ventsing drunk driving during the holidays is now under way. the highway patrol and the officer of traffic safety will be putting out ads soon encouraging you to make plans before you head out for the evening. they say drinking isn't the only problem, it is also drug use. drug related deaths are up 35% between 2006 and 2019. >> most people rptd mak aren't these choices in a vacuum. they are at a party, whatever the situation is, so we need to start watching out for each other. >> officials say people have all sorts of options like rides sharing services that make it easier than ever to avoid driving impaired. abc 7 news is committed to building a bay area which means that we are looking at the big issues and what could make them better. issues don't get much bigger than housing and san francisco

continues to lose affordable housing almost as quickly as it builds it. the city keeps track of how many new units are market rate and how many are earmarked for low income tenants. but for every two new affordable housing units, the city loses one existing unit. lyanne melendez explains what the city thinks the solution should be. >> reporter: building more affordable housing has long been a goal, but the battle to keep people here has been more challenging than anyone predicted. >> we have people living there 44 years in the richmond district. all of a sudden the building is being sold and they are looking at being evicted. >> reporter: and that is nothing new. what is different is the somewhat recent approach taken by nonprofits like the council of community housing organization. its co-director promotes the

development of permanent affordable low income housing. he thinks the solution lies in small site acquisitions. for example, take this building, the grand orient hotel in the south park district was recently purchased by another nonprofit with the sole purpose of making it 100% affordable. >> through acquisition, we can take existing housing and tab stabilize them. >> reporter: and today in all there are 40 buildings that have been purchased. the problem is that there isn't a steady influx of money to buy and restore them. but recently san francisco announced that it had received an unforeseen amount of money from property taxes. several supervisors are now proposing that a portion of that money be used towards property acquisitions. >> we need to look at all the possibilities that exist for the purposes of not only preserving existing affordable housing, but generating more. >> reporter: loopholes in the condo laws and

and so we'll have wet roadways and also perhaps a slippery commute out there. as we look live, you will notice that it is a nice start to your saturday. and the weekend with temperatures in the 30s with that fog around the bay area. so certainly be careful out there. you can see it out here towards the delta into livermore, but also petaluma and santa rosa. 41 in napa, 36 santa rosa. mountain view at 44. and as well as san jose. so we will start out with the clear sky for most of you. and then sunny in the afternoon. clouds will increase later on this afternoon and that will bring in more clouds for your sunday and then a chance of rain late throughout the evening hours to the overnight hours and that brings in perhaps slippery roads monday morning. so here is how it will shape out afternoon. you can notice it is sunny out there and then by 2:00, 3:00, maybe a few high clouds. and that sun setting at 4:50, that is when we see the
