trees on top of downed wires. an official cause of the fire has not been released. 86 people died. -- 89 people died. camp fire survivors are now suing pg&e. two lawsuits were filed on monday. monday. they claimed they misled the public about maintaining power equipment in a way that helps to prevent wildfires. she is a plaintiff in one of the suits. >> if it's their fault, i want them to make it right. i saw a big plume coming up over the mountain. i ran in and called my mother and i said there's a huge fire out here. i don't know if i'll see you again or not, but i'm going to try. >> a spokesperson said pg&e is aware of the lawsuits and focused on restoring power. a surfer who drowned friday

at ocean beach has been identified. >> a go fund me page to support his family has raised more than $100,000. officials say 43-year-old jay drowned friday afternoon. he worked at oat, a company owned by verizon. his co-workers started this go fund me page. in two days, it raised more than $126,000. more details at abc7news.com. two women caught on video trashing a san francisco restaurant during santacon now have surrendered to police. 21-year-old natalie alcantar 21-year-old natalie alcantar from san francisco and 21-year-old pacifica resident hannah bowman were booked for felony vandalism and battery. the pair turned themselves in after seeing the video saturday night on local news stations. a $25,000 reward is being

offered for information leading to an arrest in burglaries in reno and sparks areas. they found some of the stolen firearms in vallejo. the latest burglary was monday. if you have any information, call 800-atf-guns. president trump would intervene in the justice deposit's case against a top chinese executive if it could help in a trade deal with china. this is new video this morning of huawei executive being released on bail in canada. she has been accused of violating u.s. sanctions with iran. the judge ordered she be watched by a security firm and have a tracker. the foreign minister has no information on that suspect. the city of oakland's federal lawsuit is being called federal lawsuit is being called meritless and malicious.

breaking news in san francisco. amy hollyfield is live with the details. amy. >> reporter: hi, jessica. look at all of these cars on bush being forced to turn right on leavenworth. it is closed between bush and pine. also, look what is inside their crime tape, the crosswalk. pedestrians trying to cross bush are having to go out into the street. be aware of that if you are driving through this area. police say they think they will be here for a while. this happened at 3:30 this morning here at bush and leavenworth. a woman was hit by a car. they say a dark colored car as she was crossing the street. they don't know whether she was in the crosswalk. they don't have any witnesses. the driver left the scene.

so they are currently looking for that person, hoping to catch up with that person to find out what happened. the woman survived. she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. we are hoping to get more details about how she is doing later this morning. right now they are focused on gathering evidence. avoid this area if you can or expect to just use a lot of caution if you need to come through here. amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. let's start with liking at neighborhood temperatures in the north basement fog on 101. ot like it was yesterday where some of the thicker fog was in napa valley. 38 in santa rosa. tiburon in the 50s. 50s around bay shore. 40s in the east bay. temperatures are rising as this warm, humid air mass rolls in. we are seeing the fog spread.

according to the cdc, it was linked to 29% of all overdoses. it overtook heroin as the drug most often found in overdose deaths. abc 7 news committed to building a better bay area. which means we dig deeper into big issues like transportation, housing and transit, including the tolls we pay. yesterday's proposed vote tore charge people entering and leaving treasure island got delayed. residents protested during yesterday's hearing. of the toll would be 3.50 during weekdays, $3 during the weekend pe peak. and free weekdays off-peak. it should add another 20,000 residents in the next 20 years, according to projections along with hotels, shops, and stores s. here are renderings of what it will look like.

2019 to uproot and find new homes. after midnight this morning, mountain view city council voted to demolish the 20 rent-controlled apartments here to build 15 luxury townhouses. developers told a crowded council meeting new units would cost $1.3 million apiece. that a drastic increase from the nearly 2,000 dollars rock street apartment renters pay per month. 75 people, including 30 children, will be evicted. developers made an offer to work with another apartment owner to find places for the low to middle income neighbors to live. but is the city mayor says that comes with its own challenges. >> what we found, even in those situations, is that it is hard for people who have been in naturally affordable units, units there are rent controlled. it is hard for them to afford to stay in our community unless they are living in a vehicle. >> reporter: despite hours of pleas from dozens who will now

for the gunman who opened fire near a christmas market. he is said to be a 29-year-old man with a long criminal record. the shooting happened in strasbourg last night. three people died. 13 others are hurt. a prosecutor's office tells abc news the shoing is being treated as a terrorist attack. he is being described as an extremist. they searched his apartment hours before the shooting for attempted murder. he was not home at the time. president trump tweet build this a couple hours ago saying another very bad terror attack in france. we are going to strengthen our borders even more. chuck and nancy must give us the sroet votes to get additional border security. his push comes one day after a drama sick showdown inside the oval office. >> this was quite see. if you haven't seen it yet, here is a replay of the no holds

after the meeting, pelosi told democrats in a closed door caucus meeting that the president's proposed border wall boils down to a manhood thing. back here at home in the east bay, a development in the "ghost ship" fire warehouse case. the defendants want the property's landlords and 11 oakland city officials arrested. they claim they are the ones responsible for the deadly december 2016 fire. court documents filed yesterday named a building inspector is and members of the fire and police departments. almena's and harris's attorneys said they knew about the dangerous living conditions inside the warehouse but took no action. they face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. trial begins april 2nd. former santa clara county superior court judge is asking supporters to help him pay $135,000 in debt. our media partner, the mercury news, shows he sent an e-mail to supporters to ask him to donate to his failed campaign by december 31st.

light to moderate snow sunday into monday. thank you, mike. breaking news now in san francisco this morning where roads are blocked off around bush and leaven worth streets. >> because of a hit and run accident investigation going on right now. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live with details for us. amy >> reporter: jessica, investigators are now here on the scene. i want to show you where they are working. they have evidence markers out there in the middle of the street around the woman's belongings. the woman who was hit by a car here at bush and leavenworth. it happened 3:30 this morning a dark vehicle hit her. that's as much as of a description as they have. the driver took off, did not stick around. the are definitely looking for that person. the woman was taken to the hospital. she did survive. they said she is in life t especial threat threatening condition. leavenworth is closed between bush and pine. they don't know how long it will

police are warning people about burglars posing as pg&e workers. >> one clerk rang the doorbell and asked the homeowner to let them into the backyard. the burglar entered the home and swiped a box of jewelry. the orinda police chief said don't allow anyone into your house that you are not expecting. ? they do come to your door and say they're from an organization or company, call that organization or company to verify or just call the police. now your morning money report. how does the oprah winfrey international airport sound to you? >> does it come with free gifts in one for you, one for you. a council woman is considering renaming nashville international airport to honor her who graduated from tennessee state university. the national airport authority board has the final say. right now oprah doesn't meet the criteria and thankfully so a person has to be deceased to get an airport named after them.
