can expect light rain and showers to continue, less than a quarter of an inch of rain likely in most areas. it will be breezy at times. notice we'll continue to see pockets of light scattered showered overnight and into tomorrow morning. we'll start with wed weather in the early morning hours. that will be dissipated followed by a storm coming in on sunday. it will produce rain. >> thank you. in the east bay, will be the first. residents will participate in the exercise. sky 7 shows the route along the way from st. andrews drive to glory a -- gloriana boulevard.

are they ready? >> reporter: they're prepped. they're going to knock on neighbors' doors and then get in their cars and drive out all as part of a drill. >> literally what we have done is separate the town into 23 different zones. >> the police chief says for one of those zones, the ones that encompasses the country club, saturday at 7:00 a.m. will be show time. here's a look from sky 7. residents will be directed to evacuate on st. andrews drive and out to highway 24. the busy two-way road is one of the few leading out of town. it will become a one-way evacuation route between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. with all westbound traffic.

the signs are up. >> is it a good idea to have a live active drill? >> absolutely. i think it's necessary. it would be silly not to prepare in a town that's very similar. >> one of the things we'll be doing in the skper tomorrow, we'll be doing the evacuation at 20 miles an hour because the real is when the road is that choked, people have to work together because one accident could tie that street up and block hundreds of other people from being able to evacuate. >> reporter: lessons learned tomorrow will be aemployed to other drills in other zones. 20 agencies are coming to watch it in live action to eventually replicate it in their own communities. >> i think it's great. i always wondered how the evacuation would be with all of the wildfires. >> reporter: the chief said 10% to 20% are optding out.

the rest are ready to get the evacuation. pg&e sunday fire again. they're accused of falsifying records and pressuring employees to go along with it. an investigation revealed they failed to mark gas lines because of low staffing and pressured supervisors to falsify records between 2012 and 2017. they must be marked to prevent construction companies from hitting them. a normally busy city union street remains closed a day after a massive water main break. it happened at betancourt way. al mena county water district crews are still on scene. they're wanting to repair a very serious break to a pipe. the overlay shows the precise location. officials don't know how long this repair is going to take or

i think he's been attempting to do it in the white house as well. >> you wrote an article about a real estate deal ten years ago. president trump sold his palm beach mansion for about $15 million above market value. >> in 2008. >> to a russian oligarch. >> trump said it was the art of the deal. why do you not buy it? >> it was a lot of money, $4 million over what he paid for it a few years ago with minimal improvements. the purchaser never lived in the mansion, nerve visited it to my knowledge. it was valued after the recession for $54 million. so it was still under what it was actually paid for, and at the same time, donald trump was in a big deal of hurt. he had $40 million of a personal guarantee that was due from deutsche bank, his casinos were failing, and there's a whole history of all this russian

doppler 7. we have light rain and showers widely scattered. let me show you where it's headed at the moment. look at that. that massive rain moved out over the bay and dissipated. we have new waves mounting here over the inland east bay. the rain is not very heavy or widespread. here's a live view and wide as well from our rooftop camera. currently 59 degrees in san francisco and oakland, 63. morgan hills, 67. 57 at half moon bay. temperature readings right now, 53 in santa rosa, 50s here and 60 at livermore. and the view -- it was a view but not anymore. here's raindrops on the lens of our sutra tower cameras. we'll see light rains and showering continuing through tomorrow morning.

continues into early monday morning and we'll have a dryer pattern in the middle of next week. let's talk about current storm which ranks one of the storm's impacts. we could expect light rain and showers. less than a quarter inch is likely in this system in most areas. it will be breezy at times. notice this little spotty isolated shower, except early tomorrow morning. there may be a greater concentration of wet weather but it will dissipate and break up into nothing. what does fall is mainly in the north bay. overnight, low temperatures will be in the 40s to low 50s. tomorrow's highs will be right around 60 degrees in most locations. let's move on to the next storm. that will be a strong storm on the storm impact scale. we'll expect rainfall totals of half an inch to an inch and a half. in most areas, gusty winds. 30 miles an hour and rough and

potentially dangerous receiver will accompany the storm. going into the morning hours, sunday, 10:00 sunday morning, widespread rain moderate to heavy in the north bay. we'll see the wave of strong stormy weather moving down south of the golden gate and into the east bay as well and by sunday evening we'll see most of the storm activity in the south bay and east bay. it will start to clear up a little bit and the storm will wind down early monday morning. rainfall potential, anywhere from just above a half inch to just under an inch and a half for most of the bay area. wind gusts will be up to 40 miles an hour or higher, especially on the coast line and in the higher elevations. so let's move along and take look at our surf advisory. high surf warning from 9:00 sunday morning to 9:00 evening. strong rip currents and waves are possible. here's our seven-day forecast. we'll have much calmer weather

this is a story i've been thinking about. a meteorologist in detroit took her own life. i worked in detroit. i didn't know her. my husband worked there at the station. she had a husband, two kids. >> since 1986 more than 82 million have undergone the surgery. >> his 27th birthday my son lost all hope. >> reporter: drchl nancy burleson knows the pain of laser eye surgery all too well after her son max who underwent the procedure could no longer deal with his pain. >> first he had severe pain. he felt like needles were continuously being poked inside his eye. by the time he was four months after this procedure he became legally blind.

>> reporter: no longer able to go to school, find work, or even go outside, max had lost all hope. >> the day after his birthday, he went into a state park in texas and put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. >> reporter: meantime just this week jessica starr, a tv meteorologist in detroit took her own life. on her facebook page she expressed her difficulties with recovering from vision correction surgery. the doctor has performed over 25,000 vision correcting procedures and doesn't believe there's a scientific correlation between the surgery and suicide. >> i think suicide is a tragic multi-factor mental health issue. i don't know if it can all be sumped up to one cause. >> reporter: he says only 1% of the 700,000 procedures in america result in major complications but that surgery isn't for everyone. >> the most important everything

we're seeing light rain throughout our evening commute. the second storm will be packing a high punch. there was a tweeting about michelle obama's sold out book tour tonight. the former first lady's stop in san jose is expected to draw big crowds. in an abc news exclusive, michael cohen says he's telling the truth. the president's former lawyer sat down with george stephanopoulos. cohen said president trump knew the hush money was wrong. you can watch the full interview on abc7news.com. president trump has tapped mick mulvaney as acting white house chief of staff. the current manager of the office of budget will replace john kelly. abc's tara palmieri has the details. >> reporter: the president tweeted, quote, i'm pleaseted to announce that mick mulvaney will

herater dam apartment. witnesses heard screams coming from the third floor where the attack happened. arresting her roommate, a 23-year-old dutch man at a train station about 65 miles away shortly after her body was found. her mother says there were warning signs and remembers her daughter had recently complained about the suspect's growing temper. >> mom, he's my friend, i'm his only friend, but then she brought up, you know, his anger, he would get angry, but i always can talk him down. >> reporter: police say they do not believe the two were romantically involved and are still searching for a motive as a mother is left grieving for her daughter before christmas. >> since i heard she was coming, i raced to put my tree up. i couldn't have christmas without it. >> her mother is leaving today

for the netherlands. >> that's a parent's worst nightmare, your child thousands of miles away. shares of johnson anlds johnson fell more than 10% as reports that the company knew about asbestos in its baby powder for decades. reuters showed the company's raw tall come and finished baby powders sometimes tested positive for small amounts of asbestos. according to reports that information was kept from federal regulators. johnson & johnson denies the claim saying their baby powder is safe. about 15,000 college students getting an early christmas present and they're getting it from the federal government. the u.s. didn't of education is erasing $150 mull of debt who took out loans to pay tuition at for-profit schools.

this. >> reporter: these aren't your typical fourth or fifth grade students. they're kids in california, aware of the natural disasters and devastation around the state. for them it's preparation through projects. >> i know that we're ready because we fell more ready than before. >> reporter: instead of traditional reading, writing, and arithmetic, students at this elementary school in san jose are taking the project-based learning approach. with guidance, these kids are ready for anything. >> the learning is much more authentic. we always have a purpose for everything that we do, and the kids are well aware of the purpose. >> reporter: on friday doris's class turned to the wildfires. >> this is about a model of where the fire started. right here is tubbs lane. >> explaining to peers how the
