doctors had to remove part of his brain. he can't speak or recognize his family at this time. he was attacked last month while on the job as a security guard. his he niece says they are relieved an arrest has been made and that the police department has put together a solid case. >> i'm just really focused on having my uncle in people's prayers and having -- just focusing on him being well again. because everything else -- of course we want justice to be served. his niece says she has seen the sufrl video but it is unclear why he was attacked. the suspect denied our request for an interview. >> amy, thank you. an oakland man who pleaded guilty to providing material

support to isis is expected to be sentenced. he pleaded guilty to three counts of phony credit cards and identity theft. in detention hearings two years ago, the prosecutor described his plans to start fires in berkeley and san francisco, sell cocaine laced with rat poison in bars, and bomb gay nightclubs in san francisco. he faces a possible 47 years in prison. in the east bay, concord police are looking for the man carrying a gun that went off inside a packed mall. abc 7 news was at the sun valley shopping center after a bullet damaged the southern at cinnabon yesterday afternoon. a man's gun fell from his jacket. the weapon discharged as he picked it up from the floor. nobody was hurt. and the man left before officers arrived. >> in the east bay, five people went to the hospital after a try worth. workers were cleaning up the
