the second storm of the weekend. we are still feeling its effects this morning. >> as you can see from our golden gate bridge camera, it is leaving wet roads for your commute. good morning. it's 5:00 a.m. meteorologist mike nicco is tracking the forecast. >> storm impact scale of just 1. random showers will keep plates wet, especially across the north bay. a few hundredths of app inch of rain. there you go. random showers through the north bay right now. we will see how the day plays out this monday. 7:00 in the morning. also have fog to contend with. temperatures running in the upper 40s to low 50s. upper 50s. then the mid to upper 50s from noon to 4:00. by 7:00, right around the low to

mid-50s. partly cloudy and dry this afternoon. how about the wet streets? alexis? i'm guessing it probably contributed to a crash we have in san francisco right now. this is involving a motorcycle. sounds like that was the only vehicle involved. the rider is talking with first responders. just past the 280 split. a little bit of delay out of san francisco heading south. a quick look at drive times. 680, highway 4, walnut creek, n green at six minutes. we are slow. it is still raining in the tri-valley. tracy to dublin, in the yellow at 52 minutes. alexis, thank you. breaking news we're following in san jose. >> a pedestrian was hit just hours ago on interstate 880 near 1st street. matt keller is live near the scene. matt? >> reporter: hi, jessica. yeah, the investigation has been cleared here.

traffic is moving in all directions at 880, north 1st street. it was raining pretty hard around 12:45. investigators were set up in the median. this is next to the on and off-ramp. a person down in the roadway. police has confirmed this person has died. traffic was blocked off during the investigation. san jose police are getting back with us on more information with what took place here this morning. matt, thank you. in the south bay, chp is investigating a car crash in san jose that left a woman with significant and traumatic injuries. officers found it a off zanker road. the amount of damage to the car made it difficult. crews had the cut the car away to get her out. she was taken to the hospital for treatment. brand-new at this hour, a major announcement from google.

it plans on building a $1 million campus in new york city. it will be 1.7 million square feet. and amy hollyfield is getting more details about the expansion. we're going to check in with her in the next half hour. stay tuned for that. new details about the camp fire reviewed by our partners at the bay area news group found the technology that was supposed to alert residents of the fire failed miserably. the review found several problems, including residents not signing up for the system. officials did not trigger warnings for every neighborhood. and overloaded or damaged cell networks failed to deliver warnings to the intended recipien recipients. the butte county sheriff will conduct an analysis and release the report. a man is pleading for washington to quickly grant his wife a waiver. a lawsuit is being planned on his behalf. here is abc 7 eric thomas.

>> reporter: this is ali hassan is and his 2-year-old son abdallah. he was born in yemen but is on life support with a rare genetic brain disorder. >> he was having seizures. when he was back in yemen, i was take him to the hospitals over there to treat him to get him better. >> reporter: but doctors in yemen could only do so much. to escape yemen's 4-year-old civil war, he moved his wife and son to egypt first. hassan had family in stockton. later he was able to bring him to childrens p. but the trump administration travel ban on five pre-dom napoli muslim countries keeps his wife trapped in cairo. >> i have never heard anything from them. my son is suffering a lot. he is having seizures every day. >> reporter: he can no longer

breathe on his own. his little body may not be able to handle life support much longer. ali fears his son will die before his mother can get him. >> i want to bring my wife here. i want her to see my son. i want her to see him before he passes away. >> eric thomas reporting. the council on american-islamic relations plans to file a lawsuit today to force the government to expedite a decision on whether to issue abdallah's mother a waiver for the travel ban. the trump administration said the travel ban is meant to keep the u.s. safe from terrorism. happening today in san francisco, a suspect will appear in court to face charges in an asult that left a security guard seriously injured. abc 7 news was the only crew on the keep as 57-year-old dan jansen was carted into an ambulance last month. they believe a skateboarder attacked him outside the old bank of america building.

his niece said the attack caused brain bleeding, forces doctors to remove half of her uncle's skull and part of his brain. he was a coma up until a week ago. >> it's hard because he looks scared. and i just don't know if he knows what's going on and if he knows the people that are around him. yeah, it's -- he can't really speak. so it's hard for us to know what's going on for him. >> the suspect turned down a request from abc 7 news for an interview at the jail. he is expected to be in court this morning. new video we have from the donner pass shows rough conditions if you're heading out to tahoe. a winter weather advisory is in effect until 10:00 this morning. that means a lot of snow and difficult driving conditions. travel officials say it is best to wait until sometime this afternoon if you plan on making that trip. and you can check the weather conditions in the sierra and where you livni time on the abc 7 news app. it features live doppler 7 and is free to download.

he came back. >> san francisco police think the kaidnapper ran from the scee of a traffic accident. nypd found drugs at the scene and are now testing them. 34-year-old colin kroll was found dead in his manhattan apartment yesterday morning. his app hq trivia hosts daily contests. the one for last night was canceled and it showed what you see now instead. the app's host came on to get his condolences to his loved ones. a wellness check was asked for him. a report is now criticizing the spending on the firefight which cost $262 million, the most expensive in u.s. history. it destroyed 57 homes and killed a bulldozer operator. the report done by firefighters united for safety ethics and ecology said fire managers did

google is investing $1 billion for hudson square in new york. the announcement says the new york office is currently home to 7,000 employees speaking 50 languages. and now it is going to be expanding. the news came in a blog post from ruth porat. new york city continues to be a great source of diverse, world-class talent. that's what graduate google to the city in 2000 and that's what keeps us here. this is a double dose of news of the bay area being left out. apple announced last week it would be expanding in austin, texas. not cupertino. that campus is expected to cost about $1 billion. google hopes to start moving into its new new york buildings in 2020. live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. thank you, amy. happening today, an oakland man who pled guilty to providing material help to isis is

expected to be sentenced. he pleaded guilty to three counts of phony credit cards and identity theft. in detention hearings two years ago, the prosecutor described his plans to start fires in berkeley and san francisco, sell cocaine laced with rat poison in bars, and bomb gay nightclubs in san francisco. he faces a possible 47 years in prison. in the east bay, concord police are looking for the man carrying a gun that went off inside a packed mall. abc 7 news was at the sun valley shopping center after a bullet damaged the counter at cinnabon yesterday afternoon. a man's gun fell from his jacket. the weapon discharged as he picked it up from the floor. nobody was hurt. and the man left before officers arrived. >> in the east bay, five people went to the hospital after a truck plowed into a truck in hayward. workers were cleaning up the damage at this sizzler. the fire department says two vehicles collided and a pickup

truck crashed into the restaurant yesterday. five people got hurt, including a young girl who was trapped under a table. the truck's driver was not hurt. supporters of the affordable care act are vow to go appeal a federal judge's ruling that strikes down the act. democrats say it's bad news for republicans in congress because the health insurance coverage of millions of americans is now in jeopardy. abc stephanie ramos reports from washington >> reporter: today, the health care of millions of americans is in jeopardy. leading into the last weekend when americans could sign up for health insurance under the affordable care act, a texas judge ruled the law unconstitutional after they eliminated the individual mandate requiring everyone to buy insurance last year. the president applauding the decision over the weekend. >> exciting things happened over the last 24 hours. >> reporter: moderate republican susan collins believes the ruling will be overturned. >> the judge's ruling was far
