is happening at the kitchen. we will have updates as they occur on abc7 news at 6:00 and the abc7 news app. high tide slammed parts of the bay area this morning. cal transsaid the lower half of the parking lot is currently closed due to flooding by the tide and will remain closed through christmas day. earlier we were under a advisory for flooding in low-lying areas. and today's high tides were followed by unusual low tides. we can expect rain within the next few days. abc7 news, meteorologist, drew tuma has the temperatures. >> right now live doppler 7, you can see there's green on our screen right now, but our atmosphere, it's very dry for

the current moment. none of this rain is actually hitting the ground. i will zoom in closer and i looked at the reporting sites and nothing is hitting the ground. the same cannot be set for christmas eve. we're tracking light showers, and a strength of 1 on the storm impact scale. it will turn breezy around here on monday evening. we will go hour-by-hour and show you the storm system and when it gets out of here in the full forecast in a moment. pg & e says they are open to a range of changes including breaking up the utility. the commission says it's looking at possibly replacing the board of directors and breaking up the company into smaller divisions or making it a public agency.

actually hitting the ground. this is all part of a storm system well to our north, so the majority of the region tonight, it will be quiet and cloudy. with those clouds it really slows the cooling process. right now we are in the upper 40s to low 50s. 54 currently in san francisco. 49 in cloverdale. overnight tonight we will hang on to a lot of the cloud cover, so not as chilly tonight as you were last night and not nearly as foggy as we had been in previous nights. a little delta fog, but that's probably about it under the overcast skies. upper 30s to upper 40s is what we will drop to over the next 12 hours. we have another coastal flood advisory that will go into effect tomorrow morning, and again, it could see minor flooding in low

lying areas close to the water. limited sunshine tomorrow. there's a chance there could be a sprinkle in the far northern portion of the north bay, but for many of us tomorrow we are dealing with a lot of cloud cover and dry conditions. overcast skies, mid-50s to low 60s. 61 for san jose. about 57 for san francisco. 60 in concord. and lake port up to 53 degrees. if you are traveling across the state tomorrow for the holidays, it's a really quiet weather pattern. a lot of cloud cover, but the state remains dry. and 54 for chico. palm springs up to 76 degrees. tomorrow is a nice day tomorrow. can't say the same for monday, though. on christmas eve we bring in the storm impact scale. it's a light level one impact scale moving in on christmas eve. most will receive less than a quarter of an inch of rain.
