they discovered he was missing during a head count at 9:35 last night. mendoza was serving a five-year sentence for using a deadly weapon in a carjack. they believe he got away in a toyota rav4. california license plate 6stz502. if you are see him or this car, you are encouraged to call 911 right away. a manhunt is under way also for a suspected cop killer in the central valley. >> he was killed in the small town of newman. will carr has an update on the all-out search. >> reporter: good morning. there is a manhunt taking place right now after a police officer was shot and killed just hours after christmas o. they have the suspect on camera buying two packs of beer and cigarettes. the shooting took place during a traffic stop just moments later. 33-year-old ronil singh was killed. he was a husband and a father of

the 32nd annual chipping of the trees atcivic center in san francisco. and they will demonstrate how discarded trees are turned into mulch. last january, san francisco recycled nearly 500 tons of christmas trees. curbside collection in san francisco will begin on your regular service day between wednesday, january 2nd through friday, january 11th. if you already put all of your holiday wrapping paper in recycling, there is good news recycling, there is good news and a little bit of bad news. about 90% will be recycled just fine, but not all of it. yesterday abc 7 was at recology. some things cannot be recycled, including two or three materials in one. that can be paper with velvet or metallic flecks on it. tape can also be an issue. >> our feeling about tape is less is more. when you're wrapping a gift, we encourage you just to put a ti you don't even have to use tape.
