in the south bay, the parents of a 24-year-old san jose woman shot and killed by police. >> the family and police chief both spoke publicly this morning for the first time. >> david louie is there. >> reporter: san jose police officers chased this vehicle for seven minutes after a witness pointed out the vehicle was

involved in a shooting. the car crashed into a chain link fence. the car reported stolen to police. police chief eddie garcia the driver tried to back into a patrol car. two women believed to be in the 20s. killing the driver and wounding the passenger. no guns were found in the car. and police acknowledged that they were not the right suspects. >> when someone acknowledged this was the >> reporter:. >> translator: she just doesn't understand how much force can be used against her daughter. especially a woman, the circumstances of what they were.
