police say robbers went into the restaurant and shot at least one person. two people were taken to the hospital. in the east bay, fire investigators say hot ashes sparked a fire in martinez that forced nine people from their home. and you can even hear the roar of the flames as firefighters doused the home yesterday morning. it was located on banberry loop. hot ashes placed in a plastic garbage container ignited the fire and a gas leak powered the flames. a man and his dog are doing well after getting stuck in waist-deep water and mud near sfo. the fire department shared this video on twitter. the man got stuck near the end of the north access road. crews found the small dog moments later. it's unclear why the man was

in a row but not eureka. organizers canceled over concerns it would be, quote, overwhelmingly white. they say in a post on facebook the march lacks representation from several perspectives in the community. according to census bureau data, the county is about 74% non-hispanic white. women's marchers are scheduled for january 19th across the country, including in san francisco and san jose. federal investigators are looking into a cyber attack that affected many major newspapers. saturday's hack caused delivery delays for some papers, including the l.a. times and the san diego union tribune. homeland security is working with partners to understand the situation. officials have not formally commented who was behind the hack but sourc in the form of ransomware. a san francisco bar that's been around 30 years is closing for good tomorrow. the elbo room owners say they
