just one ours away, and from so many people wet spoken to tonight it brings the hope of new possibles. for now with all of this cold weather people are doing their best to stay warm before the big fireworks show. san francisco is sending off 2018 with a blast of cold air and wind. >> it's crazy it's so cold. >> reporter: this family is visiting from the philippines. >> happy new year! >> reporter: it's 85 degrees in manila, but sheena says our winter weather is all part of the experience. >> we don't get a lot of this kind of weather back home, so yeah, we're enjoying it. >> reporter: families lined up bundled under blank ep e cozy. kids found ways to keep their hearts pumping, waiting for the last chilly hours of 2018.

moon bay. this is the shaky view atop the hills because of the powerful wind gusts. fairfield 47, and 45 at livermore, this is a lovely view from the abc 7 exploratorium camera looking back, and these are or forecast features. windy and chilly, and especially gusty up in the hills. cold mornings inland for the next few days. the remainder of the week will be dry. these areas in yellow, the hills of the east bay and north bay are still under this wind advisory until 10:00 tomorrow morning. the wind gusts will range from 60 to 70 miles an hour at times very powerful. there's a possibility of downed trees and power lines, and here we go with a look at overnight lows. under breezy conditions, it will feel colder than it actually

will be. dropping to a mid to upper 20s, north bay, east bay and south bay -- right around thebay, upper 30s to about 40. then tomorrow, we'll have sunny skies, breezy conditions, not quite so windy, but still breezy, and it will be seasonably cool. about 54 to 56 degrees in most locations. what are our chances of rain? for the remainder of week, about zero percent chance of precipitation. a 50% chance on sunday. the incoming storm ranks only 1 on the storm impact scale, but some locations could get a good drenching from the storm. here's a look at the forecast. we'll have very cold mornings, especially wednesday and thursday morning. dry again on friday, but not so chilly. then the showers on saturday,
