kate is live in palo alto. >> reporter: all the apple anxiety is not just about today's 10% drop. it is about what happened three months ago. apple's stock has fallen nearly 40% since its peak in october at $232 a share giving rise to concern that the iphone which accounts for 60% of the tech giant's sales is losing its luster. >> i am fully in the apple ecosystem. >> reporter: even students like jp reilly had a hard time with the 2018 iphone rollout. >> did you buy a new one last year? >> no. i didn't. the one he have now is perfectly fine and i couldn't see myself shelling out another grand for it. >> reporter: cell phone owners in china may feel same way. though tim cook blamed the slowing economy and trade tensions for driving down traffic to its retail stores.

looking back across the bay. i can see which way we're looking now. napa, 38, petaluma, 41, concord, 41, 37 in livermore. so it is getting chilly. >> and looking out over the bay. it will be a rather wet, wendy pattern. the first storm coming in on saturday is a storm of moderate intensity. expect to it produce an inch or more in many elevations. a chance of thunderstorm and strong gusty winds gusting sometimes. sometimes at 35 to 45 miles an hour. here's our forecast animation starting at midnight tomorrow night. it will be a wet start to the day on saturday as the wave of rain, the first one comes in about 5:00 a.m. bringing some down pours and gusty winds. a rainy day throughout the day

and we'll move over to the sierras for snow. the wind gusts by midday saturday will range from 35 to almost 40 miles an hour across the bay area. and rainfall totals will be quite impressive. arranging from half an inch to just over an inch across the region. let's move to the sierra where a winter storm watch is in effect. we expect about a foot to a foot and a half of snow. some locations could see up to three feet. strong wind gusts there as well. back to the bay area. low temperature in the low to mid 30s in our inland areas. it will be mainly in the mid to upper 50s. tomorrow will be a dry day. we'll have a series of wet days.
