>> reporter: an ohio doctor now the center of a his hospital accused him of ordering potentially fatal pain medications for near-death patients. >> we're sorry for the additional grief this may have caused for the families. dr. william ordered a lethal dose of fentanyl and a sedative and told austin his wife was brain dead. >> he's a doctor. i figured he's got knowledge. >> reporter: 30 minutes after the medication, bonnie was dead. the health system says these patients families had requested life saving measures be stop but that the doctor ordered more than what was needed. 14 nurses and six pharmacists have been put on leave. now he has been fired. we have been unable to reach him for comment.

it's an unidentified floating ishing has all the buzz e. these days. what you're seeing is a big ole piece of ice. you have a perfectly formed circle of ice that is fascinating this area. this is a town of about 17,000. they discovered, if you will, this thing earlier this week. they have been tweeting about it and made a video about it. and what you have is a -- they think it's about 100 yards across and you see it's pretty much a perfectly formed circle. how does this happen? it's not that complicated, it's ice. we know it happens when water gets cold enough, it freezes and makes ice. but here there's a current in the water that spins at a really slow pace and over time, that thing had been going around and around and it formed this giant circle of ice. there's someone who told a city official he's been watching this for the past several weeks form. it's been going on for a while.

more from terry moran. >> reporter: the deadly attack caught on security cam video. a massive fire ball. victims crumple to the ground, a few stagger out of the smoke. the target, a restaurant wrecked by the blast. bloodstaining the walls, debris littering the streets. four americans killed. two active duty service members, a civilian service defense employee and a contractor. helicopters evacuated the injures. at least three american troops were wounded in the blast. the americans were conducting a local engagement u.s. officials say in northern syria where u.s. troops have been on the ground for two years. within hours, isis claimed responsibility. this attack comes less than a month after president trump's stunning announcement he was pulling u.s. troops out of syria because he claimed in a video, isis buzz defeated. >> we have won against isis. we have beaten them and beaten them badly.

backing up towards his house as the officer fires 11 more shots, killing the teenager. the city argued the teenager had driven the van at the officer and he feared for his life when he fired his weapon. the city settling a lawsuit for $3.2 million, reportedly making no admission of wrong doing. the family, accusing the officer of acting recklessly and deliberately and that he might have been simply backing his mom's minivan out of the family garage. saying john is forever gone and there is nothing that can ever excuse such an unreasonable use of force. his mother says she can only hope this will prevent similar tragedies from happening to other families. gio benitez, abc news new york. an ohio teenager calling police on her dad because he took away her iphone. remember, we acted this out yesterday. i was the dad, obviously.

russia. he told cnn that he only said trump himself did not collude. when asked about paul manafort shared polling data with moscow, giuliani said sharing that information is not collusion. the tennessee teacher who ran away with a teenage student has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. he was the subject of a nation-wide manhunt in 2017 after disappearing with a student who was then 15 years old. they were found in a remote cabin in california. he apologized for his actions. in a statement, his victim called him disgusting and said the effect he's had on her was devastating and permanent. good news for 50,000 sears workers. sears stores are staying open. the company's chairman put together a $5.3 billion in bankruptcy court. the deal keeps the company from shutting about 400 stores nationwide.
