an assembly of one party's allegations and by no means a confirmation of facts. kate larson, "abc7 news." a home security camera hack caused sheer panic for a family. that fear that turned to anger once they discovered what the security camera company knew all along. >> it came on like the emergency sounds of an amber alert, and then a man's voice announced that north korea launched three intercontinental ballistic missiles towards the united states. >> reporter: our media partner spoke with laura lyons. she heard that warning on sunday. she realized it was coming from her nest security camera. she prepared the family to evacuate. her scared 8-year-ld son hid under the rug. >> right down the rabbit hole, yeah, terrified. >> reporter: she called 911 and the security company and found out it was a prank. her camera was likely hacked. >> we're curious to know why we

was not hurt. pg&e says it can't fix the damaged gas meter tonight. a high school spanish teacher faces allegations of sexually abusing a student. detectives arrested him at pioneer high school today. staff members alerted police, claiming he molested the student in november and december. an inmate in jail died after drinking excessive amounts of water. the sheriff's office says jesus dicky was alone in his cell when he died last june. he faced charges of kidnapping and sexual assault. the east bay express reports today that dicky suffered from schizophrenia, which made him compulsively drink water. we are entering the 33rd day of the longest government shutdowner and senate leaders agreed to vote to reopen the government. >> but both sides remain far from reaching a deal. our reporter has more now from washington. >> reporter: on thursday, the senate will vote on two

in developing news, teachers in los angeles voted tonight to approve a new contract. they will go back to work tomorrow morning. both sides reached an agreement around dawn after a 21-hour bargaining session and six-day strike. it gives teachers a 6% raise and smaller class sizes. you're looking at why many commuters say they feel frustrated and even frightened while riding b.a.r.t. this fight broke out on a train last night. it appears at least four people were fighting xwhal othwhile ot watched. >> b.a.r.t.'s approval rating is at an all-time low. >> in 2005, it was 84%, but
