icy roads in wisconsin put a deputy in danger. take a look at that. he stopped to help a driver whose car had gone into a ditch and as he was walking back to his cruiser that car coming from the other direction just started spinning out of control. that deputy managed to get out of the way just in time. firefighters left behind an ice castle after putting out flames in philadelphia. look at that. they dowsed the overnight house fire in the germantown section in sub freezing temperatures. by morning the home and cars in the street looked like a scene from the movie "frozen." three people were hurt in the fire and three dozen have been relocated. we turn to the confrontation igniting outrage across the country. >> the school the center of the storm, covington catholic high school in kentucky will re-open this morning under extra security after receiving threats. one of the students coming face-to-face with a native american protester is speaking out. >> here is erielle reshef. >> reporter: claiming they,

time out for herself is the root for her burnout. >> i always feel like i should be doing more things and like i am never going to catch up. >> reporter: clients overcome these feelings. she still has not been able to overcome them on her own. >> i do have four jobs. that's a lot. i don't know why if i not complain but vent about all the things i feel i have to do. see, so we have tips for you. finding the work life balance can be so tricky. one of the first things you can do, start by removing the urgency some of the things in your life that are really not that urgent. >> yeah, like time management. not answering work related e-mails and calls past 7:00 p.m. or on our shift, 3:00 p.m. put yourself first once in a while. >> also, really do find time for yourself. meditate. eat healthy. exercise. all that stuff will absolutely help you. of course, get rest. >> yeah. sleep. eat well. don't be on your phone all day.

the pentagon says they will not implement changes to transgender policies while the cases are being heard. for the second time this year, a u.s. service member has been killed in afghanistan. the military says the american was killed as a result of enemy small arms fire. officials say the incident took place in central afghanistan. last thursday, a u.s. srgt died from injuries in combat. here at home, one of the busiest airports is back up to speed, following a drone incident. arrives at newark airport outside new york city were briefly suspended last night after two drone reports. the drone was spotted over another smaller airport in newark's flight pattern. about two hours after the first drone report, newark airport was operating again. the family of a woman appearing from a boston bar is overjoyed she was found safe and sound. 23-year-old olivia ambrose had

been missing since last saturday night. victor pena is charged with kidnapping. he's expected to make a court appearance today. eva pilgrim has the report. >> reporter: after days of searching, a breakthrough. >> we can tell you, the young woman, olivia ambrose has been found alive. >> reporter: boston police confirming the news. >> a long night and day, but well worth it. >> reporter: the 23-year-old was last seen at this bar with her twin sister and friends saturday night. she just moved to boston to work for a software company. >> we are beyond happy to have her home. it's amazing. >> reporter: the news coming just after police released these photos of a person of interest in the case. she left the bar around 11:00 p.m. saturday. minutes later, she entered a subway station with a man, his arm around her. cameras then catching her exiting a different station with the same man. >> i went to her apartment. she hadn't be there.

union. the white house requesting a walk through of the house chamber. >> nancy pelosi does not dictate to the president when he will or will not have a conversation with the american people. >> reporter: but she does have the power to block him from doing it on the house floor, and if she does sources say trump is eyeing a political rally instead. democrats are rejecting what the president called a compromise. >> let me be very clear. open up government. open the government. let's talk. >> reporter: the president's offer, temporary protections for dreamers, undocumented immigrants brought to the u.s. as children in exchange for the $5.7 billion to build the border wall, but the supreme court downplayed that plan leaving protections in order. now 800,000 federal workers about to miss their second paycheck. in tennessee, john manly, an air traffic controller and father of seven is driving for uber on his days off. >> it doesn't come close to the

a vote is set for tomorrow based on president trump's proposal to swap wall funding for temporary protection forreers, afails, th will take up a second measure to reopen the government until february 8th to allow time for talks, but allows no wall money. nancy pelosi got her first look at a charitable kitchen in washington where a chef is serving up free hot meals for federal workers and their families. major protests are planned for today in venezuela. the u.s. is supporting the opposition. vice president pence is taking the lead recording a video and calling the president, nicholas maduro a dick tar toy with no legitimate claim to power. he tweeted the u.s. would support the opposition until democracy is restored. maduro claims pence is supporting a coup against him. police in michigan say heads up by a detective helped to capture a suspect accused of shooting an officer in the face. >> the officer is listed in critical, but stable condition this morning.
