he tweeted out, i'm extremely saddened by the passing of peter magowan. i will never forget our first call about the possibility of me coming home to play. he saved baseball for san francisco and he will be greatly missed. sending my love and prayers to debi and the family. i love you. peter magowan. he died in his home of cancer. he was known for sitting right behind the dugout with the fans and many of them say they will never forget him. >> first they saved the franchise in 1992 when it was sold to a group in tampa florida. then their vision was to get out o old candlestick park. they, despite ballot measures trying to get public money to construct this beautiful ballpark, decided to -- they had to privately finance the ballpark themselves. >> reporter: the stadium opened in 2000.

curative. he's being treated as an oakland hospital and is optimistic about his diagnosis and getting back into the pool to train for the 2020 tokyo games. the city of huntington beach is fighting back against the state. it's got dueling lawsuits. it's southeast of los angeles. last week governor newsom's administration announced it's suing the city saying it's deliberately blocking affordable housing, which is against state law. now, huntington beach is suing the state to overturn a different housing law, this law accelerates approving housing projects if they offer affordable housing. the lawsuit says the law is an overreach and the city matters. senator scott wiener from san francisco wrote the law and says the lack of housing in california means the state needs to set standards. there's new concerns surrounding facebook and its plan to integrate messaging services from whatsapp, instagram and facebook messenger. critics say it raises security

and anti-trust concerns. they worry how facebook will share data across the platforms and with third parties.
