ongoing repairs of the transbay center in san francisco. the bus terminal will be closed until june and longer. work to fix cracked steel guarders is under way. expected to be done by june. but could order work elsewhere in the transit hub. >> we're eager to be open. we think we're make lg good progress. we're certain that by the first week of june we will be done with the gerders. we need to continue to work with the make sure there's no other issues in the building. >>. transit center has been closed since september 25. after being open for just six weeks. it's important to let a team figure out why the beams cracked. >> we want to ensure the public trust through the process. however long that takes is important. >> this weekend construction workers will replace hydraulic

jacks. that's going to require the closure of first street 5:00 a.m. tomorrow through 8:00 p.m. sunday. >> if you think there are fewer bikes on the road in san francisco. you're right. according to data this week in a new mobility report, there were nearly 20,000 fewer bicycle trips in 2017 than 2016. part of the reason is people are moving out of the city. because it's too expensive. there's the bike riders are more worried than ever about getting hit by a car or bus. this under scores the need to build more protected bike lanes. >> bart is warning early morning kp late night riders expect big service changes later this month. those chang going tore last a for the next three and a half years. years. the agency is pushing back the start of service on weekdays from 4 to 5:00 a.m. to perform seismic safety work. buses run from select stations to help affected riders.

shooting. the video shows not only the shooting but what led up to it. we hear the 911 call. >> this happened on november 15. gonzalez shot and killed by police who thought he was armed with a knife. live with the details. >> police responded to that call for a man with a knife back on november 15. like you said. gonzalez lay dead with 13 police bullets in his body. officers who arrived received a call that he had a knife. but he did not. he had a raiser blade. let's show you video of what took place there. >>

police say the only open fire when gonzalez charged at them. family members disagree and say the shooting was unnecessary. the family members have filed suit gents the hayward police department and held a news conference with the attorney. and his office behind us. the police chief is promising a thorough investigation. but the family is not convinced. >> he was my only son. my baby. >> it took the officers seven seconds to fire their guns at my cousin. seven seconds doesn't gi time to deescalate any situation. >> it's tragic. there's questions about it. people have questions and deserve answers. i have questions. and i expect answers to be produced as well.

>> gonzalez was 29 and lived in -- the law firm expects to file suit against the city on thursday. of next week. also, we should tell you that they police chief is promising the investigation will be thorough. it may last a while. as of today he had no estimate on how long that would be. the officers involved are back at work. >> all right. empire actor jussie smollett released a statement after the alleged racist attack. he writes. my soul is stronger. i want to say thank you. the out pouring of love and support has meant more than i can put into words. smollett claims two men beat him, put a noose around his neck and poured a chemical on him. doubts about the attack have

surfaced after reports say he declined to turn over phone records and police haven't found surveillance of the attack. smollett has been cooperative. he says he will soon address the inaccuracies that have been spread. >> a restaurant owner and apologizing after saying he wouldn't serve customers wearing make america great again hats. the change of heart after he tweeted they are essentially the same as a white swastika or white hood. or symbol of hate. he issued an apology saying in part. we will continue to serve all customers regardless of race, color, religion, sex. national original. gender orientation or political opinion. if they leave hate, anger and violence outside the doors of the restaurant. neighbors were split about the controversy. >> i mean people should be

you can see. indicated by the light green color. this is the view from the tower. at bay. and most of the bay area. 56 degrees the temperature here in san francisco. upper 50s at oakland, mountain view, san jose and half-moon bay. here's a view of the thickening clouds from the east bay hills camera. it looks harmless. but we have reports of light rain scattered around the bay area. this line up of locations we have temperatures in the mid-50s. and this is the view as you might expect at that elevation we have impressive wind already. obviously rain drops. these are the forecast features. powerful storm it will be, continuing over night into tomorrow producing heavy downpours, damaging wind gusts and a colder storm will arrive

sunday and monday. this current one ranks 3 on the storm impact scale. a strong storm. heavy rain and flooding likely. two to four inches in the hail. damaging wind gusts. high wind warning in effect for all the bay area until 10:00 tomorrow morning. it's a high wind advisory. here in the county. and on we go to the flash flood watch. in effect for all the bay area. to 12 noon tomorrow. and up in the county and lake county. in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. monday. and a coastal flood advisory. 6:00 a.m. tomorrow to non-noon tomorrow. high tide we may see flooding. parking lots and roadways. all the low lying areas are likely to get flooding. widespread areas of moderate to heavy rain indicated by the yoel low and orange. it will get nor intense tonight. before midnight. rite after midnight this wave of

heavy downpours. moving through again during the ore over night hours. some of the heavy downpours will linger. we'll start the day tomorrow with more waves of rain coming through. accompanied by strong gusty wind. rainfall potential anywhere from an anch and a quarter. actually it's up. an inch and a half. an inch in san francisco. up to two and a half inches of rain. wind gusts to a peek during the over night 50 miles per hour or higher. on the coastline. 35 to 40 miles per hour gusts everywhere else. those will taper off in the afternoon hours tomorrow. and concerns are very high. the high temperatures. upper 50s to 60. concerns are high tomorrow for hydro planing and flooding on roads. downed trees and power outages. here's the 7-day forecast. tomorrow storm will lank two on the impact scale. we may see thunderstorms
